Last week was one of the most bloody ones outside war of the history since humanity, with tragedies in Bagda, Virginia and Rio. This make us remember the sentence "Stop the world, I want to get off", that some people here in Brazil say was created by Raul Seixas and Paulo Coelho. Raul's daughter, Vivian, and his last wife, Kika, said once that actually the music was only quoting another one by Sílvio Brito. Sérgio Augusto, who writes for a newspaper, said that it was the title of a musical by the english Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, that was watched in London in 1961 and then became a movie. Oscar Levant said they got the sentence from... a painting in wall... Being made by Raul, Paulo, Sílvio, Leslie, Anthony or anyone else... SOMEONE STOP THE WORLD! I WANT TO GET OFF!
So, about Paulo Coelho: "Paulo, why do your books sell so much outside, but almost nothing here on Brazil?" "Because I'm not stupid! I only hire translators that write better than me!"
