The pain inside keeps growing
And the joy it seems to cease
Try to keep from showing
The pain and agony
The day has turned to night
And the clouds won't dissapear
We all know that it's not right
But we hide and cry in fear
They say one day it will change
That life will be good again
Youth screams in silent rage
Everyone falling to sin
We can't just sit and wait
For the pain to fade away
Won't take hold of the bait
Someone needs to say
I won't take this anymore!
I'm gonna make things right
Get your a** off the floor
We've gotta stand and fight
Rain and thunder and lightning
Fire and death and rage
All of these things so frightning
Things have gotta change
Take in the scene around you
Is this what you want in your life
Is there something you can do
To end all this pain all this strife
Children roam the streets
Alone in this place we call home
No where for daring do feats
Hearts made of iron and chrome
We can't just sit and wait
For the pain to fade away
Won't take hold of the bait
Someone needs to say
I won't take this anymore!
I'm gonna make things right
Get your a** off the floor
We've gotta stand and fight
So I'll reach my hand out to you
To make this place home once again
Try to show you things we can do
Takin' away the pain and this sin
Run through the water so cold
To wake the spirit within
Growing so strond and so bold
Fix this world we live in
Gotta stop the blood from flowing
Can't let the pain overtake
Try to stop it from growing
And to right all of our worst mistakes
