PROLOGUE: Archers back then when the six nations were whole were less respected. No one could see that they were ALSO warriors. Back then, they thought archerey was for the nobles to play when they got bored. But, it was much more than just shooting and aiming at a target. The six gaurdians of the six nations were very cautious about it. There were certain arrows that they used during battle. With water, the gaurdian could use their arrows to send ice out of the arrow when it hit the designated area, either jagged and full of spikes, or nice, slick and smooth. With earth, the guardian could make it so wherever the arrow landed, a large crevice could open up and have whatever it hit fall in and close up again. With fire, they could make the arrow errupt into flames or do so when it hits the spot. With air, they could make the arrow fly faster through the air making it go so fast that it could pierce someone's heart and go all the way through the body or could have a wind tunnel suck whatever it is up and away. With elefctricity, wherever it lands, lightining shoots from the sky and strikes whatever the arrow landed on. Lastly, with metal, wherever it lands, metal errups and covers everything. Those are all the advantages, but there are disadvantages along with that. For example, if the guardians weren't careful and inexperienced, mass destruction would come out of the arrows and they couldn't control whatever came out of it even if the guardians were able to control that element, they couldn't control whatever came out of the arrows. That is why only three guardians still have these arrows and the other three hid them away and used different weapons for battle.
SECOND PART BELOW!
Now, only the six nations are divided down to only the six guardians. It is now present day and all six of the guardians have no clue what they are and why they have special powers. They are different from everyone and because of that, they are sent to the school where people with special gifts are sent. Two of the guardians are so close that they are even blood related. Two others are really close that they are step-brother and step-sister. The last two are completely different and they don't know the other four until they get to the school. When all six of them meet, something will connect and they will all become friends and allies to help each other with the trouble up ahead that will change them even more. Carmen Holliday is fifteen and has red curly hair with black, blonde, brown, and even blue highlights. She has the most unique eyes, they are purple with white rims around the pupil. Just a few weeks before she and her half-sister are sent to the school, her and her half sister's mothers were murdered. To her dismay, she was there when it happened and she saw them get killed and who killed them. The murderer threatened to kill her if she said anything to anyone. So, she is terrified and the memory of it all plays and replays over and over in her mind. Soon enough, she's going to break if she doesn't tell anyone. She now only has her half sister and her cruel and idiotic father to live with since two years before, her older brother who treated her nicely and included her in everything was killed in a car accident. She lived through the accident and she blames herself for living and him dying. All her life, she has been treated as a freak because of her wolf ears and wolf tail. Also, whenever in water, the water seemed as if it was a dog, licking her and obeying her. She loves archery and arches every single day when it isn't windy out. If so, then she practices with her katana. Jake is sixteen and has brown hair with hazel eyes. He could dazzle a girl easily. He knows how to treat people. He loves to tease his friends that are girls by sneaking up and poking them in the sides to see them jump or screech. At Cryan School For Special Gifts, he helps out all he can. He has bear features and when mad, he could tear someone apart. For some odd reason, he could make or move earth wherever he wanted by just raising his hands or thinking a command. At first, it creeped him out, but then he learned how to control it and it didn't creep him out as much. Dereck is sixteen and has sleek black hair with what looks like flames going through it. He has blazing red eyes that when angry they could make people shrink and feel as if they were on fire. He loves to start fights and makes more than friends. But around certain people, he is a total sweetheart, he is kind, loving, understanding, caring, and can control his temper. He might not show the features of a phoenix, he still has it and he can control fires just like when he controls his temper. His mother swears he is a freak so she sent him away to the school. Shrimp is sixteen and has blond hair with brown, black, and red highlights with blue rimmed green eyes. Her mother was murdered and she thinks that her half sister knows something about it since her half sister's mother also died and she couldn't even make it to the funeral, or can't even mention anything about her mother. Shrimp is worried about her half sister, but she is also going through the loss of her own mother. Her older brother ran away awhile ago when her mother had gotten a new boyfriend and worked somewhere near the new school that Shrimp's new found father sends her and her half sister to. She is constantly called freak, but she doesn't care, she loves her fox ears and tail. She can also fly for some odd reason and can hear what the wind whispers through the leaves. Kerray is sixteen and has blond with brown highlights and turquoise eyes. She is very out going and doesn't care what others think of her. She makes sure that her white tiger features show. She loves them just like she loves her powers of being able to control electricity. Most of the time, she thinks someone is saying one thing when they are actually saying another and that gets her into a bunch of trouble. She can control her power a very little bit. So her loving mother and step-father sent her and her step-brother to the school so she could master it. Her and her older step brother stick together like two peas in a pod. She couldn't go anywhere without him. She was glad that he could read minds so he could be accepted into the same school as her so they could be together. Bryan is seventeeen and he has silver hair with flaming red mixed in with really light grey eyes. He has features of a rhino making him muscular and strong. It comes in handy when his step-sister and his friends needs backing up, he could easily squash someone to pieces in just a few seconds. He can shape metal. He doesn't care about what others think about him. He doesn't have many friends, but no enemies either. He just decided that since there were others like him at the school and that his step sister was going and they never were apart, he should go to the school so he could figure out how to control his power.
CHAPTER 1
"Sisters!?" Shrimp and I exclaimed in unision. I stared into my father's coal black eyes with disbelief and hatred. I shook my head. "This can't be true, we're just friends, we can't be half sisters!" A cruel smile spread across his face. "Oh but you are." His harsh voice barked out. I shivered at the sound. I've always thought him to be insane, and I found out proof that he really was. It distresses me and i cannot even speak one word of it. My father was the one who killed mine and Shrimp's mothers just because they found out we were sisters. That very tragic, horrifying day, I was supposed to be out with Shrimp, but I stayed home secretly, which i now regret. Later on, I heard screaming and crashes. I ran downstairs to find my father throwing our mothers into a wall and knocking them unconscious. Then I saw him point a gun and pull the trigger, hitting them 5 times each. I had let out a little squeak and he turned the gun to me. "If you let out one little peep out me murdering them, you'll be in the cold ground just like your old mother here will be." I remembered his cruel, unjust voice growl at me. I shuddered and realized Shrimp was staring at me worriedly. I glared at my father, shook my head, and turned quickly away. I ran away from the house. I hated my father and I still couldn't believe how much of a jerk and how insane he was. In the forest, i knelt in front of my mother's gravestone. Tears flowed down my cheeks and I just stared at it. Someone knelt beside me and put their arms around me. I looked up to find it was Kris. I forced a smile. "Hey, sis." He said quietly. "Hey." Other than Shrimp, he was my best friend until we decided to make it a brother-sister relationship. I wiped away the lingering tears. It was annoying that he never really seemed to care about me. "Shrimp is looking for you." He spat out her name in disgust. "I know, i just wanted to be alone for awhile." I replied. Kris nodded getting up and leaving. I huffed out and stared at my mother's grave for one last look. Shrimp and I were being sent to this one school for the "gifted" as my father calls it. Shrimp came up and knelt beside me. "Carmen, when will you tell me why you are so upset?" She asked me worriedly. "When I can stop being such a coward." I retorted. "You're no coward Carmen!" Shrimp cried out with wide eyes. "I am too!" I was close to yelling. "No Carmen, you're not." She hugged me. "I am too, I am!" I cried, shooting up out of her hug with tears in my eyes. Shrimp got up shaking her head. "Carmen, you're no coward." She said and we headed back to the house. I was already packed so, I slung my guitar and my bow and arrow over my back and took up my suitcase in my hands. Shrimp also came out with her things all packed. I saw her sword and I gasped running back into my room. My sword was laying there on my bed with its beautiful engraved case. I carefully slung that also onto my back and hurried back out. Shrimp chuckled to herself. "What?" I confusedly asked. "How could you have forgotten your sword?" Still laughing, she asked. I glared at her playfully. "I just did." I said in a matter-of-factly tone of voice. "Okay." We headed to my car and I grabbed my keys on the way. "Let me drive since you barely just got your license." Shrimp said teasingly. "And let you wreck my car? I don't think so!" I retorted but threw the keys to her anyways. "Oh please, if I wreck your car, it wont be THAT bad. Don't you trust your big sis?" She said sweetly and ducked into the car. "I trust you, but not with my car." I said ducking in also. Shrimp turned on the engine as I had my door shut. She also rolled down her window and turned the radio up. "Nothing will happen, sis, I swear!" She smiled. "Better not." I said leaning my head on the window. When we pulled away, i stared out my window and put a hand against it. "I'm going to miss this place so badly." I whispered. "Yeah, but don't worry, we'll be coming back during the Holidays." "God help me." I said to quiet for her to hear.
