A 14 year old girl with shimmering silver hair walked into a school that she never heard of. Her deep violet eyes shone brightly when hit by the sun. The girl had dog like ears that stuck out like a sore thumb. She didn't care if people mocked her. She was happy to be different. But because of her abnormality it made her so that she was the shunned from all the other students that attended the school. Only one boy loved her. But it was a forbidden love. He went by the name Kaloray. His moonlit dirty blonde hair, his amazing, and his intelligence. He had all things that made him one of the coolest kids in the school. That was the problem though. He was the in the in crowd she was the outcast. If Kaloray were to confess his love to her one of the two would happen. 1. He would become an outcast like her or 2. She would be one of the popular kids. Unfortunately he doesn't want to take that chance so he'll talk to her once in a while. If there was one thing that never changed it was her personality. She doesn't like to talk that much unless it was to a guy that she liked.

My powers are not yet known.
When I was a little girl my mother
beat me up every day and night.
Now that I have moved to a new
school my life will change forever..."
Chapter one: The new girl
Ani walked into the school grounds not knowing what adventures lie with her. As she went into the office to get a room she stumbled passed a boy. She never met him before but for some reason she felt as if she knew him for a long time. As she kept walking to the office she obtained a room key that had the numbers 20,999. Unfortunately, that was last room in the building. As she walked to her room girls and guys were in there cliques talking. "She is so weird what's with the fox ears.” one of the girls said. "Is she some sort of demon?” another replied. Ani kept a straight face and kept walking. She headed to the elevator since her room was on the 20th floor. Once the elevator came one of the boys ran in front of her and said,” Sorry this elevator is for humans only. Not freaks like you!"
"How am I supposed to get to my room then?"
"Take the stairs"
Ani sighed and walked slowly up the stairs. Her legs were exhausted after she got to the tenth floor. Ani rested a bit and kept walking. After two hours she finally made it to the 20th floor. Her legs were about to fall off she was so tired. She was walking against the wall trying to reach her room. She was at the room 20954 and she collapsed. The boy that she saw while heading to the office was walking when he noticed her. "Poor girl.” he said. He looked at the key in her hand.” She’s almost there. They probably made her climb the stairs.” he said as he picked her up and brought her to her room. He took the key and opened the door. He gently set her on the bed put the key in her hand and said while closing the door,” I hope they don't do too much to her."
Chapter two: Two world’s one love.
Ani woke up the next day and noticed she was in her room. "How did I get in here? The last I remember I collapsed on the floor." she thought. "I’m surprised that whoever helped me didn't take my keys." Ani got up and walked out of the room. As she got out of the room she made sure she had the keys and she made sure that she locked the room. "My my aren't we up early?” a voice came from her left. Ani was surprised and looked to see who it was. It was the boy that she met while walking to the office.” I saw you on the ground so I thought I could give you a hand."
"Thank you for helping me."
"By the way what's your name?"
"Ani"
"Nice to meet you, but remember one thing."
"What’s that?"
"We never talked.” he said then walked away. "Wait I never asked you....." Ani tried to say but he was gone before she could ask him for his name. 'Even thought he looks a little harsh on the outside. He seems pretty nice.' Ani giggled a little when she walked towards the elevator. As she walked in there were no kids telling her to walk down the stairs. She took the elevator down to the 1st floor. She was the first to come to breakfast. As the cafeteria lady saw her she stayed silent for a minute. "What would you like deary." she said "I would like two biscuits and some waffles please." Ani said kindly. "Wait here I have something special for you." the cafeteria lady said when she went to the kitchen. She came back and gave her a bone that had flies flying around it. "You are part dog aren't you?” she asked. Ani replied,” Yes but that doesn't mean..."the lady interrupted "Good then here you go.” she dropped the bone on her plate and shooed her away. Ani threw the bone away and went to the roof. She was on the edge of the roof crying "Why was I cursed with these ears. There nothing but trouble for me wherever I go.” she said weeping. The boy overheard her crying and said,” The reason you have those ears is because you are special. Everyone is special in there own way."
Ani turned and saw him. Tears were streaming down her face. "Dry up those tears or people will mock you for being a cry baby as well.” he told her. As she dried up her tears she asked him, "You never told me your name. What is it?"
He looked at her and said, "Kaloray." She smiled to finally know his name. "Listen to me though we must never meet again.” he told her.” Got it?" Ani looked at him and said,” Yes."

Chapter 3: The true Ani
Ani finally was getting along with the school; she joined some clubs and started using the elevator more. One day when she went to her room she saw a katana on her bed. The craftsmanship was amazing. It even had real rubies on the belt. Engraved on the sheath was the name Anielle. Ani took the kantana and said,” I wonder whose sword this is.” She took the belt and put it on.” Perfect fit.” she said. Then the belt glowed faintly. She stared at it. When the whole glowing stopped she tried to take it off, but no matter how many times she pulled it wouldn't come off. She took the sheath that was on the belt off. She put it on her bed and went to the bathroom. The kantana swooped to the belt and reattached itself. Ani got frustrated so she took the sword off and ran to the door. The sword was coming. Right when she closed the door the sword banged against it. Since the sword couldn't reach the belt it was pulling the belt to the sword. "Oh great what next.” she said. She headed for the elevator as she went in the sword pulled harder. Right when the elevator door closed she banged against it. She pushed a button for the first floor and soon was heading upwards. She grabbed onto the railing in the elevator and made herself stand straight. Once the elevator rang for the first floor she used her nails to grasp onto the wall. She went to a bench and made sure that she was holding onto it tight. Kaloray walked up to her. "So what have you been up to dog girl?” he said.
"What happened to the whole 'We must never meet again' talk?"
"Well you’re becoming quite popular."
"Yea, I guess their accepting me a little."
"A little is not going to help you."
"Can I ask you something?"
"What?"
"Can you please take this belt off.” she begged. He looked at her. "What are you talking about?” he asked. Ani couldn't take it any longer.” Please help me.” she said then she let go. She was being pulled to her room against her will. He watched as she was being pulled up the stairs. "Might as well." he said than ran after her.
Chapter 4: The spirit of the belt: Princess Anielle
Ani was at the 15th floor and she couldn't bear being pulled any longer. When she was at her room she hit the door. "Ow!" she said while rubbing her head. The door automatically opened and she was dragged in. The door slammed shut after she entered. The kantana attached to her belt. "Ani, you are the reincarnation of my master. I have searched many years for you." the kantana said. "What do you want with me? I have a life to live you know.” she said.
"You are Princess Anielle."
"No I'm not I don't even know who she is."
"Tonight you will meet her.” it said.
Kaloray was at the door. "Ani are you alright?" he asked.
Ani opened the door. He looked like he ran three miles. To run up the stairs to the 15th floor he must have. "What happened? One minute you were sitting on the bench. The next you were being pulled to your room.”
"This belt I have is enchanted."
Ani said while looking at it.
"Don’t do that again or you'll be at the bottom of the list all over again.” he said. Ani felt terrible "After all the time it took me to get where I am now.” she said.” I won't do that again."
"Good” he said. Then he turned and walked to his room. Ani closed the door and noticed that it was almost 3pm. "I had a rough day. I'm going to bed.” she said when she fell on her bed and took a nap. When she woke up the sun was setting and everyone was asleep. Well almost every one. "I slept for this long? Who knew I was that tired?" Ani said. She looked down to the sword and the belt” I see you’re stuck with Me." she said. She got up and went to the roof. She sat on the edge and took out the sword. As she looked into it she saw the reflection of the sun setting. Once the sun was completely gone and the moon shone brightly everything changed. The kantana started glowing and it said with a deep voice,” It’s time." Ani looked and her whole body started glowing. The sword shot a beam of light in the air. Soon Ani's hair changed into a light brown. And it grew and was put into a braid. The kantana changed from a meager sword to a full sized kantana. She wore a miniskirt with a red sash and black leggings. Her eyes changed from deep purple to an indigo color. Her dog ears looked like they sunk into her head and armor like out fit was worn.
"My name is Ani. I am 14 years old. I am a
fox girl. My powers are now known, but only
by me. If word gets out that I am Princess
Anielle I might be attacked while I am weak
My only hope is to keep it a secret from all."
Chapter 5: The secrets of the night.
"Now do you understand?” the sword said to her.” But if I'm Princess Anielle what will happen to my other self the real me?" Ani asked. "Princess Anielle's spirit is temporary. You can only get to her at night. By day her spirit is rests in the lands of heaven." the sword said.” But take head, if anyone knows about this you could be in grave danger. After tonight you are able to take the sword off, but the belt will stay on."
"Can I take the belt off when I'm trying to sleep?"
"Nope"
"Great..."Ani said while rolling her eyes.
Kaloray was walking outside to take a stroll. He noticed the strange light and headed that way. As he was running to the roof it was night. His curse that he suffered with his life was revealed. Fox like ears grew out of his head and a tail appeared as well. He stopped and said,” Why do I live with this curse?" After a brief moment he made it to the roof and yelled at the girl. "All right who are you and what are you doing here?" he stopped as Ani turned around. Her hair was gleaming in the moonlit scenery. He couldn't help but stutter when he said, “Who...who are you?" Ani looked at him.” My name is Princess Anielle. May I ask who you are fox boy?” she asked. Kaloray looked at her. He never met her before. “My...my names Kal...Kaloray.” He said. Ani's eyes widened.’ That’s Kaloray? No way. But he's too perfect. So popular. How is this possible? Well, everyone is special he's like me. Except for him it's the exact opposite. He gets to live the life of popularity in that form, but in the other form he has to hide his appearance to everyone or he'll end up like me.' Ani thought. "It was nice meeting you.” Ani said. Then she turned around and jumped off the roof. Since her room was one floor below the roof she crawled in through the window. Kaloray ran and looked over the edge. She was gone. Not a trace of her. He thought about her as he walked to his room.
"My name is Ani. I'm a fox girl I have
discovered my powers from a katana
that was on my bed. It said that I was
the reincarnation of this girl called
Princess Anielle. I have also discovered
that Kaloray is a fox boy like me. My only
hope is to keep my secret from all."
Chapter 6: Revealed
Ani woke up.” What a beautiful day. For some reason I had a good night sleep even from that night." she said. "You were half awake when that whole thing was happening. You were using Princess Anielle's energy and not yours." the sword replied. Ani got up and met Kaloray outside of her room. “Hi Kaloray, What are you doing here?”Ani asked. ”Ani, I have only known you for a week now but I need to ask you. Do you know a girl named Anielle?” Kaloray asked her. Ani was shocked. "Nope never heard of her well got to get breakfast. Bye. "Ani said then she ran to the elevator. Kaloray looked at her. “Weirdo." he said then walked away. Ani went to the 14th floor then ran back up to her room.” I might as well run to the roof." Ani said as she headed that way. She looked at the belt and said,” Please belt can you come off just this once?"
"Fine, but just for today.” it said. Then it unlatched. Ani took it of and ran to her room. She threw it in her closet and locked it.
"Ani when I get out of this closet you are going to have a talk with princess Anielle." the belt yelled. Ani went to get her lunch. "Hey Ani here have some pizza.” said the lunch lady as she handed her the pepperoni pizza.” Thank you." Ani said. Once she paid for it she went to a bench outside the cafeteria. When she started eating Kaloray stopped by.
"Hey." he said
"Hey"
"May I join you?"
"Sure." Ani said as he sat down.

"I'm almost free from this closet.” The belt said as it almost broke the lock. It banged a little harder. The door busted open.

"Even though you have strange ears. Ani, you’re not half bad." Kaloray said. "Thanks." Ani said as she smiled. Ani took Kaloray's hand and said,” Come with me.” she pulled him off the bench and dragged him to the roof. “Why did you pull me all the way up here?” he asked. Ani turned to him and said,” I always loved to watch the sunset and see how beautiful it is, and since you always go to your room before the sun sets I thought that you might like to see it." Kaloray looked at her. "There is a reason for me to go to bed before sun set. I get tired really easy.” he said.

The belt was in the room trying to find a way out. It opened the latch on the door and flew to Ani.

Ani was talking to Kaloray when the belt came at Ani. "Oh no!" Ani said. Kaloray looked up and saw the belt. "What is that, Ani?” Kaloray asked. He saw that Ani was gone "Ani!" he yelled. He saw her on the edge of the roof. "You want me that much? Fine come after me!” she said. Ani then jumped off the roof. The belt swooped down after her. As Ani hit the ground she ran into the forest.

Kaloray ran to the edge as she jumped off. He yelled out to her,"Ani!" It struck night and Kaloray turned into a fox boy. As he jumped off the roof and ran after her he noticed that she was gone. Then his fox ears picked up a sound.” Please Anielle leave me alone. Stop please." Ani said screaming. Kaloray followed the sound. When he was there he saw Anielle and Ani, but he backed behind a tree. He took another look to see what was going on. Princess Anielle took her belt off and forced it on Ani. Ani screamed like it was tearing her apart. Then Princess Anielle walked into her. Ani fell on the ground and turned into Anielle. Kaloray went out and yelled, "Ani! Ani are you ok?" To his surprise it wasn't Ani. As the face slowly lifted up it said,” Don’t You mean Anielle?" Ani snapped into where she looked like Anielle but thought like Ani. She looked up and saw Kaloray. She quickly got up and ran. Kaloray watched her as she ran. There was a look in his eyes that no one normally saw. It was like he was calm for once. He wasn't so serious like he always is. When he looked in Anielle straight in the eyes he remembered that same look form Ani. As he got up he thought.” Could it really be her? Out of all the people why her?” he said to himself.” I’ll go." Then he walked through the forest and found her sitting on a dock on the other side of the school. She had tears streaming down her face. He slowly walked up to her and said,” So Anielle." She turned around and saw him. She started crying again and turned back. Kaloray sat down next to her. "Mind explaining what's going on, Ani?" he asked. She looked at him. She didn't see the coldness in his eyes. She saw a burning fire within him. Her tears dried up. "Why did you come? What reason would you have to come all this way for me?” she asked him.

Chapter 7: You’ll be in my heart.
Kaloray felt sorry for her. After all he's been through; she's got it the worst. He is a fox boy at night. She is a fox girl in the day. The way he sees it. It's probably a lot harder to make fun of a fox boy at night then it is to make fun of a fox girl in the day. "The reason I came was because. You matter to me. I'm not saying that I like you.” he said. Ani head sunk down.’ I knew it he'll never like me. Even though he is a fox boy. There is no way to keep his reputation with having me as his girlfriend.' she thought. He looked at her. He put his hand on her shoulder. "Ani, if there is one way to say it then I'll say it that way. I love you, and you'll always be in my heart.” he said. Ani looked at him.’ Is what he is saying true? It's not a lie? He really loves me.’ she thought as tears came out of her eyes. "Ani, why are you crying?” he asked. "I'm not crying. It’s just that I'm happy.” she said as she wiped her tears. The sun rose and made the lake that they were sitting over look like a shimmering lake of gold. As the sun rose Kaloray watched at how beautiful it was. Ani leaned against his shoulder and closed her eyes. Kaloray blushed, but from his point of view he was pretty happy. As the sun rose he turned into a normal boy. The ears and the tail disappeared like it was an illusion. Ani turned back into a fox girl. The long hair the brown color all faded away. Her hair was short and silver like usual, and as they were looking out to the sunset a white plum blossom landed on the lake. When Ani and Kaloray looked into it the ripples were shaped like hearts.
Chapter 8: Strangers like me
Ani and Kaloray left the dock and came back to the school. They were on the roof at about 1:30pm. They sat down and talked about people that were like Kaloray and Ani. “So you’re telling me that there are more like us?” she asked.
“Yes, but they live the forest. You probably came from the forest to. I’m sure that I did.”
“But I’ve never heard or seen that forest before. All that I remember is the fact that I was raised by human parents.
“Maybe you were taken away from your real parents.”
“It probably happened when I was really young.”
“Probably”
“How are you able to be the most popular person ever if you are like me?”
“Don’t forget Ani I’m only a fox at night. Because of that I have to go to bed at sunset or I might not be able to get to my room before night.”
“I know why they don’t come. Maybe they didn’t want to be teased by being called freaks like I have suffered.”
“Usually what the schools do is that they call the government agents. Once the agents they take the fox kids and research them.”
"Well why didn't they come? Not like I want them to cause I don't."
"The principal probably didn't call. Seeing that you have made friends. "Kaloray said. Ani got up from her seat and said before she left the roof, "I'm going to bed." Kaloray watched as she left. He turned and looked at the school and how happy the kids were. Then he said, "I hope they never come."

Chapter 9: Captured: Ani and the government
"My name is Ani. I am 14 years old. Through out
my time attending this school I have gone through
many things. The boy I liked turned out to be a fox
boy. One night he found out that I was Princess Anielle,
and from that he pertained his love. He told me that there
were more like me. He also said that usually they were
taken away by the government for research. My only hope
is that they never come"
It was sunset and Ani fell asleep. A government van was outside the gate. They slowly walked toward her room. They broke open the door and shot a knock out shot at her. They confiscated her belt and her katana, they put special gloves and cuffs on her hands, and they slowly dragged her to the van. Kaloray was looking at the sunset. As he looked over the school grounds he saw the white van. "Oh no.” he said as her ran down the stairs. Ani woke up and noticed she was being dragged by two white men. "Who are you? Where am I?" Ani said while she was half asleep. Kaloray was at the first floor and saw Ani. Ani asked the guys, “So where are you taking me?" One of the agents said," We are the government freak patrol. We take all the fox demons or other freaks and take them for research to find their weaknesses." Ani finally woke up. “What?! No! Help! You can't! Kaloray!” Ani yelled. Ani was thrown in the van. Kaloray yelled out,"Ani!" Ani tried to get up. When she finally got up she went to the window. They started the van and headed off. Kaloray used his fox demon powers and ran after Ani. "Ani!" he yelled. Ani screamed with tears down her face. "Kaloray!" she broke the cuffs and tried to take off the glove. She reached her hand out the window. Kaloray tried to reach. He ran to his fastest speed. There fingers tips touched, but Kaloray tripped and fell. "Kaloray!" she yelled as she disappeared. Kaloray lifted his head up. "Ani." He whispered.
Ani started crying. An agent opened a window and said, “Demon! There is no way for you to escape. Even your pathetic nails won't penetrate these metal walls." Ani looked at the agent. Such cold eyes, her deep purple eyes shown such sorrow. “Your sadness won't affect me. I even confiscated your katana." he said.
Chapter 10: The Sacrifice
"My name is Ani. I am 14 years
old. I have been captured by
the government. I can't get free.
My sword and my belt have both
been confiscated by the agents.
My only hope is that someone
can help me. “Please help!"
Ani was trapped in a cage. She was on her knees. As she looked around she saw nothing. It was pure darkness. Not even her own hands could be seen. It's as if she was lost in a black hole of eternal suffering. A fainted light shown over the cage. As the dim light brightened Ani saw many cages, but not a single person or fox demon in them. “What is this place?" Ani said.
Mean while Kaloray was going on with his life. It was like she never came. While he was heading to lunch he sat down at a near by bench. He remembered when Ani was there. She was clamping herself to the bench. "Can you please take this belt off?” she said. He snapped out of his dream and kept walking. He went to the elevator and headed to his room. He saw her again. "My my aren't we up early?” he said to her. He was day dreaming again. When he snapped out of it he went in his room. AS he opened the window the sun was setting. “I always loved to watch the sunset and see how beautiful it is, and since you always go to your room before the sunsets I thought that you might like to see It." she said as she smiled. While he was dreaming he said, “Ever since you showed me the sunset I always enjoyed looking at it." He closed his eyes
"Kaloray!" she yelled as she was being dragged away. He opened his eyes and whispered, "Ani." He left his room and went outside. It was night time and he ran to a phone booth. He quickly dialed the government’s number. "Hello I'm here to say that there was a fox boy at our school." he said to the men. The government’s car went off as it was coming to the school Kaloray stood there. He was in his fox like form. They came out and used a surprise attack on him. He was thrown in the van and they started moving. “Since the fox boys are a lot tougher than fox girls we'll have to knock him out." one agent said to the other. They used knock out gas and Kaloray fell to the ground. He was thrown in a cage like Ani. "That will teach you freaks to walk on this earth.” they said. As Kaloray got up he noticed that there were many cages like his. No one was in them. "Kaloray?" a faint voice came from far away. His face lit up. "Ani." he said. He looked around. "Where are you?" he asked. He saw a cage on the far end of the room. "Ani!" he yelled. "Shut up boy!" the agent said. A man walked up to him with a taser in his hand. Ani saw what was going to happen. They were going to kill him. They hit him with the taser and Kaloray fell to the ground. "Kaloray!" she screamed with tears running down her face. The government turned to her. "Shut up! We all liked you better when you were silent. Your screaming is so annoying!" they said. Ani looked down. "How could they." she whispered. She looked up. Her bangs were covering her face. You could tell she was mad. "You should have never done that." she said to them.
