I have a secret: I can move stuff with my mind. I think I read somewhere thats its called Telekinesis...
It just started happening: Very recently Honor has ben having some strange experiences. Sometimes things just jumped into her hands. Once when she sat at her desk staring at an empty cup she meant to pick up, it suddenly moved towards her. This incident she dismissed as her mind playing tricks on her, it had been very late. Another time when she couldn't reach a book high on a shelf in the library, she became frustrated and then it slide right into her hands! The final occurence that really convinced her was when she had been crossing the street at night when a drunk driver car came rushing right towards her. As she stared in horror and instinctively threw out her hands, the car was pushed back and forced into a stop.
Is it a curse or a gift?: She is unsure of these powers she seems to have and hasn't told anyone. I'm finally someone special, maybe I can use this ability for the greater good.
What is destiny?: Born into a high middle class family, Honor grew up with her needs fulfilled and her hearts desire. Her parents had high expectations for their only remaining child and paid for her to go to a private school and to enroll in sports. Being such a prideful girl, she participated and succeded in most endeavors. Throughout her school years she was captain of the soccer and track teams and got above average grades. She was no prodigy but her desire to be the best modivated her to succeded. For a while that was enough for her and her parents.
Soon though, she developed an attitude towards her parents. She felt like they weren't good enough for someone like her and she had this suspicion they were hiding something from her. Honor might seem like an only child but she actually had a sister. Although this sister had dissappeared years earlier and she was rarely even mentioned. The girl wanted to know and demanded the truth but no matter what she said they wouldn't tell her. Instead of letting it go, she shut herself away in her room. At first they pleaded with her to return to the daughter she used to be, but soon just gave up. She'd leave and return whenever she pleased and not a word passed between them. During this time of conflict between her and her parents, strange things started happening to and around her.
After the last incident, Honor tried researching these things that seemed to be happening to her. She found sites on telekinesis, although full of probably bogus information, she was eventually led to a reference from a book by some famous geneticist. After reading this book she realized her ability must be the same as that described, and if this was right, there were others. Looking on the back of the book she discovered he was in some city called Capri.
Even though she was just out of highschool, the girl decided to travel to this city alone. The easiest way to do this was run away, and so she did. Honor made it to the city on a bus and walked off with only a few items, the book in hand and a bag slung over her shoulder containing a small amount of money, a new cell phone and various smaller things.
I want answers: Honor has always been just that, honorable. In others eyes she is always trying hard to do good, and help. This makes sense because she has always been sort of kind girl on the outside, but in reality she is very prideful. Having strong sense of self-respect, a refusal to be humiliated as well as joy in the accomplishments, she sometimes tends to think higher of herself than others. Not one to back down to a challenge, whatever it may be, she likes to show off any skills she has. Following the discovery of her abilities, Honor has become even more wont to think better of herself, she's special, better then them. Despite this outlook, she feels that she is destined to help those who were not granted these abilities. Contrary to her vice of pride, Honor is also graced with the virtue of patience. Not afraid to wait and endure. She remains calm and controlled when presented with difficulties, using her intelligence to decide on the most efficient solution. The only times she isn't in full control seems to be when she meets others as special as herself.
There might be something else: Honor wears a silver dogtag with her name on it everywhere she goes.
