Over the next two years, Tabina’s relationship with the Gregersons grew up to a point where she actually did consider them her family. Karla was a year older than her so they were at the same age group, Mira was fun to walk out to the mall with, and Ella was as close to a motherly figure as Tabina could ever imagine. On the rare occasion she did she Karla’s father (who lived more up in the North for business reasons), she knew him as a sweet man who had some of Mira’s happy attitude and Karla’s clam nature.
Tabina kept her residency over at Lake View but often came over to Ridgebrooke to eat or hang out with Karla. Thanks to Ella, Tabina was able to get a working permit from the city at age thirteen so she could earn more money to keep up her daily life. The incident with Sean didn’t scare Lieanna away, but it told Tabina that she should keep alibis near just in case. Hanging out with Karla and two jobs would keep her record clean while Lieanna made even more appearances around town stealing more or less things.
The story of Sean and his accomplice surprisingly was quiet. Tabina learned that Sean was charged with kidnapping and his Bounty Hunter license was revoked due to that and obsession. Apparently when Sean came back to his apartment to take Lieanna away, he found no one there. He came pounding on Ella’s door to ask what happened to the thief that was in his care, she told him that she knew he was trying to pass off an innocent girl as a thief and that he should just leave. But when an argument broke out, she called the cops and they took him away after a struggle of much fighting and shouting. Johnus fled as soon as Sean was tried, and no one saw head or tail of him since that incident.
That worried Tabina for a while. Sometimes she would think he would knock on her door wanting revenge for the imprisonment of his friend. At other times she thought he would walk into town, come to where she was working, and try to take her away. Like Sean did. But when those thoughts did come up, she would review that she hadn’t seen him in a while, so why would he show up all of a sudden? Besides, when she was at work she wore platform shoes and extensions in her hair to make her look older and taller. It was required at the diner she worked at, but she kept the extensions in at her other job to keep up her profile.

With her close friends considered her family, the two new jobs to keep Tabina out of trouble while Lieanna crept around, and the disappearance of Johnus, Tabina was feeling like something was finally right in her life. It felt like nothing could bring her down from this wonderful life… Until the night Flight 432 landed, bringing along a familiar face into the area once more…

He walked out of the airport, only one bag on hand. It wasn’t big… He wasn’t planning on staying for more than a few hours. “It shouldn’t take long to find my Tabby Cat,” he mused coldly as he flagged down a cab. Johnus told the driver to drive to the heart of Skivila… That little brat would be somewhere in that area. Two years would tell her to get smart even without him in the area, and he had phone Jarred and asked for an update on her just to be sure before he went through with it… “She’ll be so happy to see me!” he said in delight, getting out scissors and cutting down his hair by a considerable amount. He didn’t want his hair to get messy when he carried out his final act in Skivila.
