My Totally Boring Life
Yeah, um...this is my life....
Dance Camp and Snobby Girls
Well, I just got back from a week long dance camp in Squaw Valley. I had to audition to get a place in it, and the audition was hard. But getting through a single week was harder. Read on:

So I arrived at the hotel on Sunday afternoon, I got checked in and went to my room. We ended up having a counselor, Celine, upstairs. Then I met my roommates: Nora, from St. Louis, Missouri; Joon, from San Francisco, California; and Enna from Tokyo, Japan. We were all 13. We ended up being in Team 1, which was soon named 'Pluto'.

We went to audition for our levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). After the auditon, we ate dinner and then went to bed for the next day.

The next day, we went and started working on our opening piece, which was choreographed to Christina Aguelera's "Ain't No Other Man". Then we found out what level we were in. Nora got placed in Group 1, Enna in Group 2, and Joon and I in Group 3. Then we went to classes.

At the end of the day, as we were getting ready for bed, we were all talking about the choreography we had learned. Joon and I complained about the hard choreography; Nora complained about easy choreography. Finally, I asked Celine, who was upstairs, if there was a difference between the groups. She said Group 1 was beginner, Group 2 was intermediate, etc. Nora went beserk.

"I have 6 more years of experience!" she yelled at me. "You only have 6! I have 12! How can I be beginner and you be advanced!"

I secretly smiled to myself.

As the week progressed, my roomies didn't want to go to classes. I basically drug them to them. I became an outsider. All the while, I started getting homesick and called home every day.

Finally, on Friday, our showcase was here. I had worked hard on my choreography and was one of the best in the group. I was planning on leaving directly after the show, because I didn't want to spend another night with my snobby roomies. However, Nora had one last thing to say to me before the performance.

"Hey!" she said to me.

"What?" I replied.

"You're such a b***h! You call home, like, every single day!" she yelled.

"Yeah?" I retorted. "At least my family cares! My family is coming...is yours?"

That shut her up real quick. "No."

I stormed out. I did my performance, and then I left. Never to see the snobby girls again.
