The orange candlelight burned softly and innocently. The white, silk tablecloth draped gently over a small, round table built for two. Chicken parmesean for the lady and a juicy steak for the gentleman was the perfect way to top off the ever-lasting night. Kelly giggled, and Ren chuckled. The couple was having the time of their life. Kelly stared into the deep brown eyes of Ren. Then...
SNAP! Krystal's bony fingers made a loud noise in front of Kelly's face.
"Say what now?" Kelly said, snapping out of her daydream.
Krystal's face fell flat and repeated, "I said, 'How was your trip to Hollywood? Did you meet Ren? You are so lucky. Every girl in Florida wishes she was you. I bet you're not even happy to be back in Miami!'" Kelly smiled a goofy smile. Apparently, all she heard Krystal say was, "Did you meet Ren?"
"Did I meet Ren? Please, honey, I got his digits!!!!!" screamed Kelly. Krystal hollered at the same time. Kelly gushed about her "moment" on set with Ren. Suddenly, Krystal's face lit up. She exclaimed about her idea for Kelly to ask Ren out over the phone.
"I cannot! One, I'd be too nervous. Two, I'm in Florida and he's in Hollywood," whined Kelly.
"No! Remember, he's on vacation in Florida. I don't know where but you can find out. Come on! I read it in my trusty mag!" Krystal beamed. A smile slowly crept over Kelly's face, and she agreed.
*Ring...Ring...* "Erm...Hello? Kelly?" Ren questioned.
"How did you know it was me?"
"Caller ID. What's up?"
"Well... I was just bored and I was thinking of what we did and I really had a good time with you and remember how you said we took the first step of a new relationship and I was thinking we could step farther. So.... would you like to go out with me???" rambled Kelly.
Even though Kelly could not see, Ren was grinning from ear to ear. He responded, "How 'bout next week. I'll visit you in Miami and we could catch a flick, maybe a bite to eat. Sound good?" Kelly was tickled pink, and started getting ready in advance for her first date with Ren.
