Okay this is a really dark and sad poem. So if you're fain-hearted I advise you not to read this. Um please comment and tell me what you think, I'd really like the feedback!
A gasp erupts
From my dry mouth
As my heart clenches in want
The want, the need to be with him.
I cry myself to sleep every night
As the pain in my heart dulls
For the pain I inflict
On myself.
My life
That had been hell
Has finally gotten so bad
That I am driven to this.
My only comfort:
A blade and a voice
The blade offers freedom from this world
While the voice keeps me here and comforts me, loves me, cares about me.
As metal tears through flesh
I cry rivers of sadness, of blood
Not knowing what choice to make
Leave this world and pain behind
Or stay with him and make it through this pain
I don't know what choice to make
or what to do
As bright crimson blood
runs down my arm in streams
I cry in pain and sadness
knowing that this could take me away from what could help me.
It could take me away
from a gentle hand
and soothing voice
that could save me from my painful fate.
