What a day!
Things that are crazy or normal! What happened or what kind of things! Here is a look on what's happening in my life and in my head!!!! Read all you want!!!
Hell Happened Last Week
stressed WARNING: HARSH LANGUAGE & RAMBLING

Okay, I'm exaggerating. But it seems a proper way to describe what happened last week. August 23, 2010. Here, in the Philippines, Manila. gonk

Yes, I am a Filipino. And frankly, I also hate the way our police force handled the hostage case last week. It was just too stupid. stressed I won't ramble and angst about it too much because it might make this longer than I planned. And also because Filipino's are not people who tend to angst a lot. scream

But I guess this does deserve special angst time. Because, as I have said before, it was just too stupid! talk2hand And people are all pointing fingers on whose fault it was and I was thinking.. "What the hell?!? Why don't you start thinking about what YOU yourself have done first before pointing out other people mistakes?" burning_eyes

First off, the police force made themselves a laughing stock because of their actions. rolleyes Everyone is laughing about it in school with black humour and they are spreading these jokes regarding SWAT:

S - ugod, W - ait, A - tras, T - akbo!!!
(English translation: Charge, Wait, Retreat, Run!!!) surprised

Another is one of my personal favourites xp and sadly, true as hell...

S - orry, W - ala, A - kong, T – raining
(English translation: Sorry, I had no training.) eek

And guess what our Computer Science teacher did? He made our exercise quiz program example all about what to do if a hostage situation happens. (In which, if you scored zero the program will claim you are a part of Philippine National Police) confused He also said,

"Hindi kasi sila naglalaro ng Counter Strike!!!"
(English translation: It's because they don't play counter strike!!" wink 3nodding

This jokes, funny as they are, has more than an ounce of truth in them. sad

Second, the media is crazy, crying for the lack of a better word. I know their just doing their job and all but I think they did more bad than good.

It is common knowledge that most aircon busses have a T.V., it is also common knowledge that most households have a T.V., Heck! Even a cellphone can be a T.V. sometimes!!! And what can be watched in a T.V. that isn't an anime, cartoon, telenovela, talkshow, movies or comedy shows? The news. Live news to be exact!!! exclaim So I was wondering if anyone paused and thought: neutral

"Oh, freaking crap!!! The crazy guy in the bus is watching this so he knows all the police force movements!!!" Apparently not... stare

Third, well... I really don't know. This whole incident can be blamed on the chaos of our society. Not exactly a person, I know, but with mostly everyone being self-centred and stuff. sad Bad things done can lead to another. I heard Mendoza (the hostage taker) just wanted his name cleared. mad

As a side note, I don't think people should be too hard on our president, P - Noy. cool He did the most logical thing during that time, he didn't showed his face and tried to be a hero. 3nodding Because if he did, I'm sure "Oh crap" will become "Oh my ******** s**t! The hell!" See? ninja

And P - Noy, well if you're reading this (by some weird chance) idea , I don't blame you for what happened. After all, you're not God or Superman. You can't fix everything that's wrong in our country in a flick of your wrist or a snap of your fingers. 3nodding That's why you have years of hard work so these kind of things never happen again. 3nodding And I actually wonder if you're sane or not because, if you're really a sincere president who really and truly wish to fix the nation, why would you spend hundreds of money to win a position that means running a nation that is close to hell? Also, people really have to much high expectations for you... That must suck... A LOT. dramallama

Anyways, this one incident showed to the world things that is wrong in our country. stare And to tell you the truth, I am ashamed. cry

Not ashamed of being a Filipino mind you. I'm just ashamed that the country my ancestors vainly tried to protect is now degraded to this. I bet our national heroes are turning in their graves (Some don't even have graves!). neutral And if they were alive they would go insane because of depression, wondering if all they had suffered in the past was for nothing. mad

Now, I'm not one of those whining idiots who actually don't do anything. evil But I'm still a kid. I'm a normal teenager who grumbles about homeworks, projects and quizzes. 3nodding I do make my mistakes and I try my best to fix them. I'm mostly average. I'm not a president in our class, not the leader in our school, not the one who brings glory to my school's name. But I try my best, isn't that good enough? gonk I care for my family, my friends and my country. And as a teenager, I can't change what happened in the past. I can't do major actions that will help. But when I grow up, I'll fix what the adults have failed to fix. emo

Don't you know? There's this saying in the Philippines. "Hindi ka pa nga pinapanganak may utang ka na." which means... "Even before you were born, you already have a debt." crying

And the way things are, if things won't start changing for the better, the children of today is looking at a very disturbing future. cry

(Let's just hope the children of today will never copy what some stupid adults have done.) evil

Here is some websites you might want to look at and see for yourself what happened that day and what went wrong. Don't worry, I doubt these people have ever heard of Gaia...:

(I don't recomend this news article but it was the only one my slow internet connection would show fast. It has lots of grammar mistakes but please ignore it for now.)
