I chose to run Cross Country
And run is what I do
Wonder why I do it?
Listen and I'll tell you

Football players lift weights
And most of them are strong
But if you think that I'm weak
You can bet that you're wrong

And if you think that baseball
Is a great thing to play
Just think of what they're doing
on a cold rainy day

They take the day off
Their games are a fold
But I just run more miles
And get wet and cold

Soccer though not bad
You must have some skill
But to push your bodies limit
You have to hit the hill

Basketball is fun to play
And you can dunk untill the rim is bent
But remember this
My sport is your sport's punishment

How does 10 miles sound?
Like a very long run?
For me its an easy day
Just trying to have fun

Run a mile at 6 AM
To start my running day
But thats just one
One fifteenth of the way

Those are some reasons
And I could think of more
Now you know why I think
Cross Country is hardcore

If you want to see me run
It shouldn't be a ploy
Just find the Cross Country team
