Georgetown's having our annual "Festival of the Arts", this year featuring the work of Schubert.
On Friday I got to see "The Shanghai Quartet" play two pieces. "The Death and the Maiden" and "Cello Quintet". Afterwards I got their autographs, too! Unfortunately I had to go into their reception area, where I guess I shouldn't have been. It wouldn't have been that bad if it was just me, but my stupid-a** mother as well as Christian's mother felt it necessary that they go in and be very, very loud.
So now I'm feeling very embarrassed about that, but I guess I'll get over it.
Yesterday night I went to the concert in the park, too. The Temple Symphony Orchestra (Have you heard them, Nathan?) played five pieces that I'm too lazy to remember the names of.
But I got to go with Elizabeth, which was the best part of it. It was a pretty nice evening. Afterwards, there was a fireworks show and then we got home.
That's just about all that's happening. Summer is pretty uneventful.
