Man, was she late. Katrina rushed on to homeroom. The door was closed. She cautiously opened it, knowing that all attension would be on her, and that she'd be in trouble with Mr. Collins for not having an excuse. As she walked in everyone stopped in their private conversations to look at her. She could feel her face flush. "Miss (last name here). Why are you late?" "Well..umm...I just...ummm." "Stop stammering and take your seat." "Yes sir." Katrina crossed the front of the room head down, while the class snickered. When she looked up her gaze fell on him. He looked at her and smiled. "Well, well well," he whispered, "Imagine meeting you here." Stunned Katrina laxed her grip and all her books fell out of her arms. At this the class broke into laughter. She couldn't believe that Gallin was in her homeroom, and worse than that he sat right behind her. She quickly retrieved her things from the floor and sat down not daring to even move a finger. She could feel his eyes on the back of her neck. She could hear him breathing even. Why me? she asked herself. She was definitely not built to deal with boy stuff. Keep breathing she reminded herself. All she had to do is get through homeroom, then she'd be fine.
