Video Games

"That's no fair, you cheated!" Watanuki yelled, practically throwing the controller on the ground.

"I did not."

"Then why did you win over 40 times in a row?"

"I'm better at Mortal Combat than you are?"

"Jerk! Fine, lets try this then," he said, pulling another game out and switching it with the one in the console.

"If I beat you at Mortal Combat, do you think you can beat me at another fighting game?"

"Scared you'll lose?"

"No."

The game started up, and they chose their characters. One hit-KO.

"That was a cheap shot, Watanuki."

Watanuki grinned.

Shooting Stars

"Did you make a wish, Doumeki?" Watanuki asked, laying his head back into the grass and watching the meteor shower. He was actually being quite calm for a change.

"Hn."

"What did you wish for?"

"Can't tell you."

Watanuki sat up, "Why not?"

"Did you bring watermelon?"

"..."

Being an Animal

Watanuki was looking over a survey on an internet forum while they were in the library. He pushed his chair back to look at Doumeki. It didn't take long for Doumeki to notice that Watanuki was looking at him.

"What is it?"

"I was taking a survey, and it asked 'If I was an animal, what would I be?' And I was wondering what you would be?"

Doumeki chuckled, "I would want to be something that could keep protecting you."

"That's lame, Doumeki."

"Is it? What would you be?"

"A bird."

"Why?"

"So I could fly."

"Then I would be a bird too then. So I could fly with you."

Watanuki blushed.

Drunk

"You're drunk, aren't you?"

"Huh?"

Watanuki sighed, "You better sit down. What did Yuuko give you."

"I....can't remember."

"Don't move," Watanuki said, going to the kitchen to get Doumeki a glass of water.

"You shouldn't trust the the alcohol Yuuko gives you."

"I'll remember that next time..."

"THERE WON'T BE A NEXT TIME!" Watanuki yelled, but Doumeki was already passed out.

Silence

It seemed the only time Watanuki was not screaming was when he was asleep, and it was even rarer (well non existent) for Watanuki to fall asleep with his head rested in Doumeki's lap.

The room was dark, even with the movie still playing. Doumeki stayed still, enjoying being in Watanuki's company, even if he was asleep.

The movie had gotten boring a while ago, so he was just watching Watanuki, brushing a hand through his short, dark hair. He knew Watanuki would flip out if he woke up now, so Doumeki tried his best to not wake him. Maybe one day, he could have a moment like this that if Watanuki did wake up, he would give Doumeki a smile instead of a lecture.
