Lacuna Coil - Italy's Lacuna Coil continue to make honest, ethereal, classically-inspired rock that has begun to win them a loyal audience on both sides of the Atlantic -- thanks in no small part to their high-profile Ozzfest runs. It also doesn't hurt their cause to have a frontwoman like Cristina Scabbia, one of the most attractive faces on the metal scene.

I don't listen to many bands with female singers. Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Lacuna Coil are about the limit. But that's just because I don't hear about many metal bands with female vocalists. I can honestly say that I find Lacuna's music to be quite good. Cristina has a great voice. Andi is all right, but his voice sort of clashes with Cristina's. Their album "Comalies" is pretty good, but in my opinion, their newest release, "Karmacode," has some better stuff. With songs like "Our Truth," I'd say it's definitely one of those to look out for.
