On this day, August the first.
Dressed all up in black up to my bow tie.
Dreaming by and by as I stare through aching eyes.

Living the after burn of a quiet heartbeat.
Dangling on a cobweb but the spider and I are still alive.
I have a book, reading I will lay to rest my sleepy head in literature.
In my heart wrapped in stories, I sit patiently, whispering to myself sweet dreams.

The sky is blue but the clouds are still in my head.

I took the night to clean the bar in my house, it feels so empty in here without all the clutter I've cleared up, the boxes are gone, the stacks of notes have all been at long last sorted away... the stove was taken away along with my old couch...
I haven't slept in four days starting today.

It's so weird in here. The break of dawn was two hours ago, the mist has lifted, my lava lamp is off, and the only sounds are the sound of hot coffee sputtering in the kitchen and the melodies of Audioslave lofting around my speakers.

Just waiting for something to happen I guess, today is the final day I am staying awake, I am going to go to sleep tonight, and wake up in the morning, and make something exciting happen for summer vacation is almost over.

I don't know if I ever mentioned it in any of my other journal entries, but I am dating Sirenas (Andrea) for almost four months now, and I couldn't be happier.
I've never felt more sure about anyone else, so I'm confident in saying... this is going to be the girl I am going to spend the rest of my life with, I'm not even nervous, just anxious to be with her.
