*Situation portrayed is real* (Names have been left out mind you)

Close Friend A & Close Friend B (cfa, and cfb to shorten it down a bit.) have had a previous relationship and CFB still wants to be friends. CFB still tries to be friends. CFA seemingly agrees, but then realizes later that CFB still may have feelings for CFA. So let's say CFB asks CFA to the movies or a dance, as friends. Everytime CFA agrees. Everytime CFA begins to doubt their agreement shortly afterwards. Damned near everytime CFA backs out and claims to be busy with chores or just busy with no reason behind it. CFB is upset by this, and gets upset everytime it happens, but nonetheless continues to ask CFA. CFA stills says yes, a lot of the time with a smile. CFB is very confused by this, they just want to be friends, even if CFB can't date CFA, they don't want to give up the friendship.

These are both good friends of mine. I disagree strongly with what CFA is doing to CFB, but trying to talk her about it is like trying to kill a bull with a bebe gun. The last time she was about to do it (and of course went through with it), and I had asked her not to yank CFB around. CFA told me that she doesn't do that. If that isn't toying with someone, then I don't know what is. CFA has also claimed she hasn't liked anyone, which is also utter bullshit. So this is really bugging me because CFA has the nerve to deny it when it's so obvious. CFB has been having a hard time lately, he doesn't deserve to be messed around with. I wish CFA would just figure out what she wants from him.

I know I have no say in this matter whatsoever. Maybe that's why it bothers me so much, because I'm so useless with it. I'm really not involved, but I don't want her CFA telling me her plans of cancelling on CFB, it sickens me. Why didn't she just say to begin with if that was her true intentions? CFB doesn't need pity dates. Maybe she's just confused too, but CFA should open her eyes a bit, and be considerate of his feelings too. All I can do is watch this crap. I could advise CFB to forget about CFA, but I know that he can't do that. It would be impossible. *sigh* Maybe I'm just too worried about it. >___>
