Gaia's Manga and Storyline
I just read the entire storyline and mnga comics of Gaia yesterday, from the fall of Gambino to the Zurg invasion, and to the attack on Edmund and Ian's lives, and I have only one thing to say: HUH?! I don't get it; not one scratch of this story, except maybe a very fine layer of translucent film makes sense. I mean, I totally understand that Gaia is an extremely unorthodox community for net-goers galore, but the NPC storyline... it's so abstract and, at times, spontaneausly random with no real aim. The characters are well developed, I'll give it that, but otherwise it's as if someone gave a kid action figures, watched and listened to everything he did with them, and recorded it for Gaia's purposes. In fact, the only thing that even seems to make any sense is Rufus, that sill cat of Ian's, and that's stretching it. And aside from Sasha, what part do the other gals (see, I can't even remember their names) play in the wide scheme of things? Good characters, good location, horrible plot devices... and general plot, for that matter.
