A little something piqued my interest today while I was in the Marketplace. As I scanned through the "You Might Like" section of the market, I came across the listing for Barton's Summer Festival shirt. Being a fellow Barton, I was happy to see that our shirts were selling even after our crippling defeat to Durem and Aekea. It wasn't until I took a look at the Average Buy price that I realized that not only were we selling, but we were selling well! The ABP for Barton's team shirts read 2,603g and still rising. I couldn't believe it; our shirts selling in the quad-digits and reaching higher as time went on.
I had to see how the other teams' shirts were doing, and to my utter suprise, we were doing better than the other three. Aekea was behind us at 1,037g, but at a 2% decrease rate. Next, Gambino (which was a suprise in itself, them being the losing team) came with 998g and a hefty 4% decrease. Finally, the enemy of Barton, Durem fell in last with 825g with no decrease whatsoever.
I was suprised by the numbers, but even moreso by the number of listings for each. It was as if everything had reversed; Barton had 35; Aekea had 84; Gambino 90; and Durem with 127. With so few for so much, and so much for so little, it was a topsy-turvy effect in statistics. It did, however, prove one thing: Barton is the both the oldest and most highly esteemed town in Gaia... or everyone just likes our shirts better. xd
