lust filled regret

serenity
perfection and purity
your enduring loyalty

your heart of ice and eyes of fire
telling lies they burn desire

in your mind and in your wake
watch as people change and fake
just a chance your heart to take

rejected in sadness the lesson told,
soul seems frigid in bitter cold

in my mind the light is dim
and some will scream i'm full of sin
with those weights i learn to swim.

then in darkness i see your light
though its wonders not in sight

and still the flame your soul will shine
and as the hourglass slips its time
she'll get to say your heart is mine

my life and dreams not to be filled
the dager cascading down, regrets now still
