Mother Father,Why?!
Ayu Hoshi's green eyes fluttered open as she awoke from her rest,she yawned loudly and strecthed out a bit."Ryuu?"She looked around,wondering if he was already awake,and he was.She sighed lightly,and got out of bed,her small feet hitting the wooden floor,she opened her dresser and pulled out an outfit of hers.
Once she was done checking herself over in the mirror,she left her room and headed to the washroom.Ayu scooped up water in her hands,and splashed it over her face,the sleep washing away from her face.She took a towel off a metal rack,and wiped her face off and headed out."Mommy!"She called out as she entered the main room."I'm in the kitchen.I'm making you and Ryuu's birthday breakfast."She explained as she set the table.Ayu jumped for joy at the delight of knowing it was her birthday.Her and her twin brother,Ryuu were turning five today.She was so excited.
"Ryuu,skipped out and went to help your father in the fields.I never understand him,he's always working."Her mother told Ayu,then left Ayu in peace to eat breakfast."I'll be in the front.I'm going to check on our flowers we planted."Her mother smiled,and headed out the front door.Ayu ate her food quietly,she looked around as she hopped out her chair and took her plate,putting it in the sink."Mommy!"Ayu called once again,heading for the front door.
The door slammed open,Ayu jumped back a few steps but was swept up by her mother."Mommy,what's wrong?!"She cried,looking out the door only to see a weird man starting to come in,weapon in hand.He jumped for Ayu's mother,pinning her down to the ground and Ayu tumbled across the floor.Ayu's mother let out a piercing scream of terror as the man tried to kill her."No!Stop it!Mommy!"Ayu was helpless,she needed to get her father."Run,Ayu,Run away!"Her mother told her,trying to stall the man from Ayu.
The little girl ran as fast as she could,finding her brother in front of a dead person."Daddy?"Ryuu whispered,kneeling beside his now dead father.Ayu was struck back by the fact her father had been killed,and her mother was destined to die,but it was no time to think about that right now.They needed to run."Ryuu,let's go!"She grabbed his hand,and ran off toward the bridge.
Ayu and Ryuu lived in the Mist Village,but their only hope was to flee to the Leaf Village.Ryuu grabbed up a nearby boat,he made Ayu get in first as he started to push it into the water.The man had caught up with them,and had thrown a kunai at Ryuu,it missed and fell into the water.Ryuu gasped,and turned around,seeing the strange man who killed their parents,he pushed as hard as he could and finally got the boat in the water.The boat was drifting off,and the man was coming for Ryuu."Ryuu!!Get in!"Ayu screamed,starting to panic.
The man grabbed for Ryuu,but Ryuu dodged him,and headed into the water.The man growled in frustration,and grabbed three kunais,throwing them at Ryuu.Two of them hit Ryuu's back and the third at his arm."AHHHH!!"Ryuu screamed,falling down.Ayu looked around,she had to leave the boat.She jumped and ran for Ryuu as fast as she could she got there before the man,and started to drag Ryuu to the boat.
Ayu pulled Ryuu in the boat,and held him close,watching the strange man left defeated at the shore."This isn't over!"He screamed,making sure it wasn't going to be over."Definately not over."He whispered to himself,and headed off.
Ayu sighed,she bandaged up Ryuu's wounds with an emergency kit that was left in the boat.He was out,and resting.Ayu grabbed an oar from the boat and started to paddle in the direction of the Leaf Village,she knew this route by heart considering her father took the twins to the Leaf Village all the time.A chill ran up Ayu's spine as she realized it was just her and Ryuu,they were all alone,nobody to take care of them,and nowhere to go.
