The blood flows slowly,
the drops gathering on the floor.
All that's left for me now,
are the military bags by the door.

She was my entire world,
I gladly gave her all of it.
For when we were together,
no one else was part of it.

But now I hope she'll see,
that she's never better off without me.

This world put both of us through pain,
but through it all I was there.
Supporting her and helping her,
for we had everything to gain.

But now this blood drops to the floor,
a hole where my heart once was.
I have nothing now to live for,
for I am not who I was.

But now I hope she'll see,
that she was never better off without me.

No one left for me to live for,
no one left for me to give for.
Nothing left for me to forget,
except for the knife, I do regret.

This world was a harsh one,
one not fit for me.
For the giver and provider,
for the buyer and forgiver.

But now I hope she'll see,
that she might be better off without me.

The sounds of war will soon reach my ears,
if someone sees these tears.
The time is soon coming,
for my time to join the drummin'.

But this heart was hers to have,
the space in it large enough for her.
But she has gone now through that door,
leaving me to lie here on the floor.

Now I hope she'll see,
that she was always a part of me.
