Hi. guys. I'm just dropping in to give you guys a report on how I'm doing. blaugh
We (in Collinsville) were getting hit with a major ice storm Saturday evening. Lost power at 3am Sunday. Trees are broken and fallen all over the place. Last report from PSO puts power restoring to middle of next week! gonk (I'm currently posting this at my parents' house, since they only lost power for a day; much of Tulsa and north of Collinsville is still out of power).
Sunday, Wal-Mart (Owasso) lost power at 6am. By the time I arrived at noon, the power was back on, but only for anout 15 minutes before it conked out again. sweatdrop I got to wander a near-deserted Wal-Mart for 3 hours. rofl Eerie, but cool. My dad had my sis bring me some pizza, though it arrived about an hour after we'd re-opened to the public.
Yesterday was particularly exciting. I got in to work at 1pm (only an hour late, joy! rolleyes ), after taking half an hour to dig my car out (dented roof, cracked windshield). I stayed an hour late to make up for coming in late. Fun part: no other Jewelry Dept. people had even showed up! gonk I hardly did any jewelry-related stuff, but I did make an announcement that I could take customers, as long as they didn't have produce (i.e., stuff that needs to be weighed). That kept me pretty much busy for most of my shift (I snuck off for a 10-minute break about halfway through). I ended up having someone from Shoes come over to handle the register after my alloted time.
Today (after Sean and I spent the night with his folks in Claremore; they have power xp ), his parents and I went to Collinsville to drag Sean's car out of the mud. A passing guy in a truck helped. 4laugh We went to eat at Bill & Ruth's (in Collinsville, who miraculously had power), then I went to Lowe's to swap cars with Sean. I then came to visit my folks, and got online to let you guys know how I've been doing.
