Such a pest to raise art thee...
our incredibly shonky plastic x mas tree has finally been dug out of the depths of the laundry and is ready to be resurrected and gilded in gaudiness. Small problem though... we usually bind our listing and pathetic tree to the flue of our Kanara Wood Heater with tinsel but we can't do that this year as the weather has been so erratic we may just need to use said heater to warm the house.... and no one likes the smell of burning plastic. Even though the x mas tinsel and other such drapable and dangly things have also been dug out...only a half hearted effort has been made to stick them up... and the tree is still sitting in a small metal waste paper bin until we can find something to wedge it in. (all the rocks round about are soggy from having been drizzeled on all weekend. razz ) So potting mix it is... now all we need is a working car to go out and buy some. razz
This x mas tree may NEVA make it to up right and decorated. sigh.
I guess none of us are feeling particularly Christmasy this year.
