Chapter two: New adventures

Chapter two
The mourning Ren leaves for the academy.


"Ok, you sure you have everything?" "Yes Grandma, i made a list last night." "Ok, heres the bus." Ren looked but couldn't see anything, she squinted her eyes and thought she saw something, yes, in the distance there was a bus, it looked sort of green and purplish,and the wheel's looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. As the bus pulled in the driveway, Ren's grandmother pushed her further and further toward. "Be good and write me a letter when you get a chance." Ren waved goodbye to her grandmother as the bus pull away. 'Please take you seats' a voice said from above. Ren looked around for a seat. There seemed to be no seat at all, finally she spotted one next to a group of girls talking. "May i sit there?" Ren asked in her most polite voice. The girls stopped talking at looked up at Ren. one of them said: No, why would anybody want to sit next to the newbie?" The other girls sit next to her started laughing. Ren turned away to hide the tears streaming dwon her face,as she sreached for another seat, a girl about her age came up to her. "Hi, im Chika,don't listen to those girls, there just trying to tease you cause you new here. Ren looked and wiped the tears off her face. "want to sit with me?" Chika asked. "Yes,thank you." Ren said. "Do they always act that way?" "Yeah,they just like to pick on people cause it's fun, whats you name?" "Ren Qua." "Qua?" Ren frowned. "Yes that what i said, is somthing wrong?" "No, its nothing." "so do you come to this school often?" "Yeah, my mom sends me here every year, you must be new if you don't know about the 'Hans sisters'." "there sisters?" "No they just like to call themself's that. So what kind of powers do you have?" "I can do water spells." "Cool, i can transfrom into diffrent animals."
As the bus came to a screecing halt, the other kids started geting off. "Come on i'll show you around." Chika said. Ren picked up her bags and followed her off the bus. The school, looked more like a castle, it had grayish sort of color to it. The end at the top were pointed up like spears,it was very and the door looked like the three it was cut from, was half dead. For a minute Ren didn't want to go in. "Whats the matter?" Chika askd when Ren stopped in front of the door. "Nothing." "Well come on." Chika grabed Ren's hand and went inside. The inside was much more diffrent then the outside, the walls looked like they had been put up that day, the floor was so white, that Ren had to blink a few time to be able to see. "Here i'll show where the doorm's are." Chika pulled Ren up some stairs and down a hall that had a line of doors as far as she could see. "Here." Chika handed Ren a peice of paper. "Whats this?" "It's you room number,i got to go find my door, see you tomorrow!" Ren waved as Chika dissappred down the hall. "Ok, lets see." Ren walked up and down the hall and looked for her number. "1437." Ren matched the number on the paper to the one on the door, and opened the door. "Hello." Came a voice from across the room. Ren looked and saw a boy that looked a little younger then her, his skin was pale as snow, his hair was a kind of brownish red,and the clothes he wore looked like some kind of sailing suit. "Hi,whats your name." "Im Raidon, You?" "Im Ren." Ren put her bags down and looked around the room, it was a large room, it had full size bathtube, two master size beds, with a night stand in between the two beds,and the walls were painted a red with gold accents. "This your first time here?" "Yeah, you?" "I've been going to this school since i was two, what kind of powers do you have?" "Just Water spells, you?" "Shadow Spells." "Geuss we're roommates." "Geuss so." "How many water spells do you know?' Ren blushed. "Only one" "Wow, i know a billion! Want to see some?" "Sure." Raidon lifted his wand in the air, said a few chants and made the shadows in the room dance around Ren. She clapped, as he stepped down from the bed. "Now lets see what you can do!" Ren backed up. "oh,no, i can't even make water move around in a sink." Raidon pushed Ren toward the bed. "Oh come on, i'll help you." he insisted. "Really? i thought you only knew shadow spells?" "Yeah, but i was tought many spells since i came here, trust me." Ren sighed. "okay." Ren reached into her bag and got her wand out. "All right.stay right here a minute." Raidon ran in the bathroom and brought out a tub of water. "You have to focus, think about the water rising, feel the water rising, then say the chant, i bet you it'll do whatever you want." "Wow, you're qiut the teacher." Ren looked at the water hard and took a deep breath. "RISE." much to Rens surpise, the water actally did what she said, in fact, Ren was actally controling the water. She couldn't believe she had gone from being the worst possible witch in the world to a pro! Then Raidon made some of the Shadows dance around with the water Ren was playing with. Ren started laughing. "i thought i was going to-" Raidon? Raidon? Raidon?!?" Ren looked all around the room, but she couldn't see Raidon any where. Ren jumped off the bed and began sreaching the room. "Raidon where'd you go?" "Ahhhhh!!!!" Ren jumped as a hand touched her from behind. Raidon began to laugh. Ren felt like laughing a little, but she had just been scared half to death! "Where'd you go?" Raidon grined. "In the shadows." "Raidon for real." "No im telling the truth, its one of the speacial things i can do, i can lose my human form, and make my self look like a shadow, watch." Ren wtched as Raidon used his wand,said a chant and slowly went down and in a minute you couldn't tell
Raidon from a regular shadow. "See." Raidon said as he came back up from the other side of the room. "I wish i could do that." Raidon frowned. "What do you mean?" "I mean, being able to blind in with your elemental powers." "Ren, everyone can do that, a can you how to do that in like ten minutes." Really?" "Sure, let me see you wand and i'll show you." Raidon grabbed the wand out of Ren's hand. "Hold still, this might feel a little weird." Raidon moved the wand in the air for a while and sure enough Ren's body started feeling a little unstable. "Okay Raidon, stop i don't like it already." "oh, come on." Raidon made the water in the bowl spill. "It'll be fun." "No, maybe tomorrow, its already time to go to bed." Ren said as she went down further. "Come on we could even play around with each other." "Raidon!" Was all Ren could mange to say before she went completely under. "Okay, okay." "Human form." But Ren didn't come up. "Human form." Raidon repeated. but still no sign of Ren. "uh,oh." Raidon grabbed both wands and wnet down in shadow form. "What happened?" Ren snapped when they came back up from Shadow form. "Don't really know, i tryed to make you come back, but it woudn't work,mmmm." "mmm, what?!" "Nothing, nothing, lets go to bed ok." "What about this mess?" Raidon grined. "Don't worry i'll have this up in a minute." So using both wands Raidon cleaned the mess and Ren went to change. "That was weird, how i went to the shadow realm, i don't think Raidon did that." Ren thought.



Next mourning.

Ok, class." Ren was trying to hide in the back of the class, of crouse the teacher had complete list of all the people for that year. Okay." Raidon and Ren? Ren raised her hand with Raidons. "Ah, yes you to are roomates, correct?" "Yes, we are." Raidon answered. "Well, Raidon, i think oyu know what class's you're supposed to take." 'Ren Qua, you have Water spells 101, we will disscuse this later on, about anything else." "Now i want you all to go to you're class's please."

A while later at lunch

"Hey Chika!" "Hey Ren!" "You won't believe what happened in Water spells class!" "Really, what?" "first i thought i would mess up, really bad and at first thats what happened, i spilled water all over the teacher and students!" "Oh my gosh! What happened?" "Well after that, i finally got one spell down." "So whats going on with you, how'd your class go?" "We, had to change in to bunch of animals, some of them i haven't even heard of." "Oh, man im so hungry!" "Where were you at breakfast, i couldn't find you anywhere." "I left the room early to find you, and left Raidon in the room, so i didn't know where the breakfast room was." Ren and Chika grab a tray and took there place's in line. "Move!! Move!!" The Han's sister's were pushing there way though the line. "Move newbie!" One of the Han's sisters pushed Ren aside. "Excuse me would work better, and no! im not going anywhere!!" Ren pushed back in line. All the noise stopped when Ren said this, all eye's were fixed on The Han and Ren. "Like i said, Move!" The Han's sister, pushed Ren back out. Ren turned bright red,she took her wand out of her pocket. "WATER FLASH!" A huge splash of water poured down on the Han's sister. "Ahhhh!" "Akako!!! Are you alright?!?" "Give me my wand!!" Akako ordered. "FIRE BALL OF DEATH!!" A red orb of fire shoot toward Ren. "WATER SHIELD!!" some yelled from behind. Ren couldn't make out the voice. Then a protect've shield of water form around her body, and extigusted the fire ball. "You'll pay for this! If its the last thing i do!! You'll pay!!!!!" Akako turned and walked through the crowd of people watching. "WOW!!! No one's ever challaged Akako before!! let alone beat her!!!" "You're so cool!!" "WOW! Akako won't mess with us any more!!" All kinds of comments and complements went up from the crowd. Chika run through the crowd and hugged her. "I thought you were dead!" "Well, she wouldn't have really killed me, would she?" "NO, of course not." "Who yelled out that spell, did you see them?" "No, sorry." Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!! "Sorry got to go, see you later!" Chika rushed off into the crowd.

Ok class, now some of you might know why we're outside, you going to have our challage of the powers." "Now each gets to try with every one in the academy. I hope we all know the rules and other then that, have fun with your powers!" "Raidon." Ren whipered. "How dose it work?" "Well." Raidon whispered back. "It's a test to see how your abilitys work, or if you have mulitple abilitys. If you break any rules your out, the goal is to try to see if you tap any new abiltys. And to stay alive." "Alll, right students lets go down the battle room and being going alphabeticaly." "We will begin with Akira vs Raidon." "Good luck." "Thanks." "Ok, let begin!" "LIGHTNING STRIKE!" A long yellow blot of lightning came out of the boys wand and went straight for Raidon. "SHADOW BLOCK!" All the shadow of the people watching surarounded Raidon made a shield around his body. "SHADOW FORM!" Raidon sunk down into darkness. Ren couldn't really see want was going on, but she thought she could make out Raidon body on the floor, behind Akira. "Now! SHADOW ATTACK!" "Hey, what th- hey! lemme go!" "Well done Raidon, you may release him." Raidon broke the spell and released him. "Ok, next up is Ren vs Akako." "What!? oh-no!" "Told you, you would pay!" "Wands ready? begin!" "FIRE BALL OF DEATH!" Ren ducked down just in time as the fire ball was rushing toward her. "WATER FLASH!" Water began pouring down on Akako, but out a speaical fire shield to protect her. "Ha! the same old tricks won't work." @@ "WATER WAVE!" A wave of water appeared in front of Akako. "FLOATING BALL!" Fire ball's flow out and took out the wave's. "FIRE BALL OF DEATH!" Ren had to think fast, Akako was about to fire her most powerful spell. "WATER FORM!" Ren went away into water form. "Water form!" Ren said, hoping that she could get out of that state. Thankfully, she did. "Erege!" Ren slowly came up behind Akako, but from shadow form, for some reason "WATER FLASH TRAP!" Akako turned around but it was to late,a small wave of water pushed her back and knocked her down. The water under her formed around her body to make a trap. "Very interesting, Ms Ren." "Next!"
