Well, as it says on my profile, I'm creative. I'm gonna abuse my Gaia Journal to show you that =]

Here I list everything I've come up with, starting with Characters and going to plot/story arcs and even including "mechanics". I'll continually update this, so, yeah.

The Gelegon Galaxy
The Gelegon was our initial idea, we've expanded enormously on it since then. I dunno how long it was ago, two years maybe. Anywho... The Gelegon was originally Star Wars based. It's changed quite a bit since those days. Basically, it's a system of x amount of planets (I'm far to lazy to sum them all up) with x amount of races for those planets. Well, now it's not just the Gelegon. Now we've included Earth in this scheme, in which it's just recovering from the aftermath of a third World War and is being terrorized by the Roroka (Arkain). There's also the Alternate World which is a single planet situated in another dimension. It's tiny, but features a multitude of races non-existent in the Gelegon. The Gelegon and the Alternate World have just recently been in contact. There also the Gateway World (Arkain's, I'm not sure of the actual name), a world of two continents that's roughly the same size as the Alternate World. The people of the Gateway World are unique in that they cannot use their Psychic Energy to harness control of other energies. The same is true for the majority of humans. Gelegonians and Alti (Alternate World inhabitants) are born with Unsealed Energy meaning they can use it.

Energy Mechanics
Every being has Pyschic Energy, or Psystsu. Psystsu is used to control other types of energy known as Common Energy and Magic Energy. Common Energy is your DBZ type of energy. However, it's not too similar. Common Energy is automatically forced to transmute when "touched" by Psystsu. There are nine transmutations. The transmutation cannot be controlled. This means that every being with Unsealed Energy has a certain way they attack, if they choose to use Common Energy. Magic Energy is also control by Psystsu. Magic Energy cannot be increased. The body has a set amount it produces unique to the individual. Magic Energy is used to control the transmutations of Common Energy so they can be used more effectively. Think of Alchemy from FMA to get a hold on it XD.
