While I was trying to get my mind around that a golden, over-sized martini glass full of a thick liquid that even my muddled mind KNEW would be bad for the drinking was suddenly in front of me.
I couldn’t tell the colour and I wasn’t really thinking about it anyway but I was betting it was red, crimson or something in that colour’s family.
They put it to my lips and when my mind stirred and tried to think… focus… something, anything… I was forced to drink. This didn’t take much forcing on their… no, HIS part.
-Where did guards go?- I thought, gasping, choking, cold but burning inside. It was like some constricting, contracting sub-zeroic metal suit had been strapped on under my skin. From crown to toe tip I burned with ice fire.
Something gripped my jaw and holding it open forced me to drink again and swallow.
I gave another strangling, choking gasp and fell thrashing and writhing to the floor.
Through the bubbling numb my thoughts had been kick started. My thoughts centered on my sisters, the twins. I needed to survive… someone had to protect… protect them and teach them. These… these guys… are dangerous. They knew… nothing… like me. I’d known… nothing. Too dangerous! Ignorance had shot me down. Damned if I’d let it do the same for them!
