Have you ever played the video game Fatal Frame? It’s a horror game where you have to run around this really old school Japanese house. I visited a house like that the other day. It was so wrong. It even had the confusing rooms and a well. A WELL. Freaky…. There was even water at the bottom.
Oh yeah, since I got to my house I’ve been hearing voices, but I was always too lazy to find out where they were coming from. When I first got here, I was instructed not to use the second story. So of course my mind wanders to all of the terrible secrets that could be hiding upstairs. So naturally I was freaked out to go up there for a while, but I finally got over it. Nothing too interesting up there.
But oh yes, the voices. They were low, sometimes mumbling, and I had no idea what the source was. Occasionally I’d hear a sound from upstairs, but it was just the house shifting and trying to freak me out. I finally got fed up and starting looking for the sound. Apparently it was from the house across the street (which means it‘s a few feet away). They leave their TV on at weird times. razz
After I found out where the sound was coming from I was a little less annoyed with it. I started reading the Bleach manga that a friend from home gave me, and then I hear on odd sound on the bed I’m sitting on. I jump up thinking it’s a bug scratching its way towards me. But no… it was water. Water was dripping onto my bed. Weird. From where? Ah, the AC. Wonderful. But I’ve never heard of that, so it was kinda freaky. But frankly, the manga was getting really good, so I had other things to think about. razz
Ooooh, god, houses settling. My worst enemy. I'm so paranoid with stuff like that, and I'm WAY too chicken. xd I'll be laying in bed, and I'll hear all these noises, and I'll think, oh, that's the simplest thing, I should get up and go deal with it. But I just lay there. Clutching my blankets, eyes wide, and then I start actually LISTENING for things, and I get even MORE freaked out. Every little thing sounds like a footstep, or a breath, or something freaky.
Yeah, I'm 22 years old, and still scared of the monsters under my bed. xd
...My bug paranoia gets pretty bad, too. I've got my bed kinda centered in my room, under the window, and like, right on top of a heat register. Well, the registers haven't worked for years, since the building was changed over to water heat. But sometime last year, it was in the summer, and something (a leak, a hole, who knows) was causing the register to emit this very quiet hissing, squeaky noise. I only noticed it at night, of course. I had NO idea what the sound was, though, and for whatever reason I actually made myself believe that there was some monster spider living under my bed. I also convinced myself that if I LOOKED under my bed, it would attack me. I wouldn't get out of bed without grabbing my cat and making him hang out next to it for a couple minutes. I figured if the cat was safe, I was safe.
Yeah. My imagination is crazy. redface [/Random rambling]

My imagination always makes somewhat plain things worse. And even though some things aren't logical, you can't convince me otherwise. >.> Take movies for example. Most movies can't scare me, but when I go home I end up scaring myself. o.o; Overactive imaginations rock and suck at the same time. xD
