I ended up staying asleep the few hours that were left of the night, hidden in my tiny cave of reeds. I would have slept longer, I think, though as usual Chi found me.

Like I said before, this girl was the best at hide-and-seek, or just flat out, 'find-Rizado-where-ever-he-is-every-waking-moment.' I wonder what she saw in me, or why she wanted to play with me all the time. Maybe it was because I was the only one around that seemed to be closest to her age. Though, in reality, I was much much older. I just didn't age.

Chi was about 7 now, I think...She was growing so fast I hardly kept track. For me years were quick, and hardly seemed to happen anymore. She'd always been a smart kid though, always knew what was going on before most of the adults around here did. But like I said before, I never understood why she clung to me most in the days while things were silent, nothing to do.

"RIZADOOOO!" She called, early that morning as a flinched awake, knowing that voice. I heard the rustling of the reeds and waited. Soon enough, Chi popped out from the reeds. "I found you!" She cried in excitement, though I knew she would. "You did!" I cried back. I always had a soft spot for her. She clobbered me, and quickly stood back up. "I drewd you a picture!" She said as she reached into her small pocket in her top, pulling out a folded paper.

I took it gingerly and unfolded it as she sat down next to me, smiling madly. Inside was a small drawing of what looked like herself, and I, but I was much smaller. "See? Its you and me!" She said happily, pointing to herself and then I. "This is great." I said, it was for a 7 year old. "Its yours." She smiled.

I thanked her and tucked it back into my pocket. She was quiet for a moment, just thinking of things she was wanted to do for the day. "Does your mom and dad know your out here?" I asked, just to be safe. If Chi was gone, Ukitake went MAD. She nodded. "Mama does. She'll tell Papa." Good I nodded to myself.

It was quiet as I looked up at the sky that was now turning a soft blue, the afternoon coming into full throttle. "Hey Rizado...?" Chi asked. I looked over. She always was asking questions, most things I didn't have answers to so we would sit and make things up. "Yeah?" I asked. "Your not...Like Mama and Papa are you..?" She asked.

I flinched subconsciously. I always had worried about me being around here. I was so different from all of the other soul reapers. The hole in my chest, and the hollow mask parts still on my head. Amaya had told me not to baby Chi from the truths, but all of this was a lot. I knew if I told her one thing, it would lead to others.

"No..."I finally started. "I'm not." She nodded, confirming she understood.
"To tell you the Truth, Chi, I used to be a human. In the Human realm.." Chi looked over, eyes wide. She loved the human realm. Ukitake and Amaya used to take her every once in a while, Elena and Kenpachi too. She loved it there. The amazing things that the Soul Society didn't have. I always wondered if Soul Reapers and souls from the Ruikon District remembered their life in the human realm. I know I did. I remembered every detail till now.

"You LIVED there?!" Chi exclaimed as I nodded. "Tell me about it, Rizzy!!!" She cried, begging almost as she clung to my arm. I could tell her. But I planned on leaving out the bad parts...Of when I died...The hollow..and.
I shook my head.
"I dun know..." I mumbled, knowing this was eating at her. "RIZZY!!" She cried again. Rizzy. I chuckled a little. That was a nickname she'd given me as a younger child, and it stuck.

"Alright, alright." I nodded. "Its a long story." I warned.
"We got all Day!!" She protested, sitting down as I sighed. "Alright, Chi. Alright."

Eh...Not really sure how I am gonna do all this, but I'll find out something. lol.
