74. Saint Vitus - Saint Vitus will always hold a special place in heavy metal history. This down-and-dirty Euro-metal phenomenon helped pioneer their special style, and helped make doom 'n gloom fashoinable in the process of doing so. Often overlooked by those into more high-profile bands of the Dark Metal genre, these guys remain pivotal to the form's development.
My review I don't care how pivotal to the form's development they were/are, they need some serious work. I know I've put down several bands on this list, but these guys... man, they're awesome compared to some other stuff out there, but they still suck.
