AH!!! NO!!!! BAHBOH!!!!
I raced down the hallway only to find BahBoh about to burst out of his jar, and send DiSpo flying off the table. You see, I work for the doctor, or as most of you know her, Dr. Singh. Sure she reports about evolving creatures, but ever wonder who tells her what's evolving and what it looks like? Yep, you guessed it. Us.
Us? Yes, us. I live with my two best friends, Canaidea and Haritsuki. Although, we are frequently visited by several other friends...and foes...and one slightly eccentric uncle that got me my job in the first place. It all started when we started living together, hoping to create manga for the world. And then Uncle came along. See, we were working on several different mangas, and then POP! out of nowhere Uncle shows up and says, "Here! I found this the other day and think that you should take care of it!" ...
Well, I took it not expecting it to morph into a giant frog/toad. So yes, BahBoh was first. He was first just a green egg, and we didn't really know what to do with him. But since Haritsuki's family owns a shrine and the land surrounding it (which is where we live, the big house slightly farther from the shrine & cafe/flowershoppe/teahouse) we decided that we would be able to watch over him. Next came DiSpo, the evolving plant like creature. I found him in the garden hanging from the Prayer Tree. I thought it was just a necklace, but silly me, it evolved into the cutest plant creature thingie ever! (Or as the doctor calls him, a DandiidooDad Spore.) So while I was raising those two, and managing the cafe and flowershoppe(the teahouse is open only spring through fall) Haritsuki came in one day with a white egg that had a back strap on it. I already had two creatures, and Haritsuki became so attached to it, I just couldn't say no.
After about a week of Canaidea staying locked in her room, sketching new ideas for the manga, she burst out screaming about the smell of her room.
"Can-chan, you've been in there for a week. You know you should open your windows!" I scolded.
"That's what I did! And out of no where this fell into my room! She held up a sweet smelling object that looked like a sugar bowl.
"And look at this!" she slid it over herself and the object fit her perfectly, like a fashionable belt.
"Oh my! Look!"

Chiharu's Life: Raising Evolving Items, but, they're my family...
It's my job, but I love every part of it...except some parts. You see, working with evolving creatures is fun, but can be dangerous. But who cares about that? All I know is that there are adventures out there and we're going to have them!
