“Mmmm…” I opened my eyes and everything was blurry. Then everything was clear. And what a nice sight I saw.

First thing in the morning, and I see Devilen. Well, I couldn’t be mean to him today. He helped me yesterday so, the least I can do is to be nice to him for one day. This is going to be hell.

Then I noticed I was wearing his jacket. He was also holding me really tight and was sleeping like a log. He must have been here since yesterday to make sure I was alright.
His blonde hair was all messed up. I was happy that his green eyes were closed. Then it would’ve made me more awkward than I already was.

I got up, took off the jacket, put the coffee machine on, and went to the bathroom to wash up. When I was washing my face, I noticed the back of my neck was red.

“He didn’t.” I said to myself. I took out a portable mirror. And I put it up to the back of my neck. The first thing that came up in my mind was: He’s dead!

I went to the kitchen, got a water pitcher from the refrigerator, walked into the living room, and poured the water over Devilen’s head.

“What the hell,” he asked. Then he turned around and saw how mad I was. “Oh. Hi, Ally I can explain.”

“I want you out.” I was pointing to the door.

“Yeah, but -”

“I said out. O-U-T. Out!” This time I threw his jacket at him.

He sighed, got up, picked up his jacket, and left. He’s a little b*****d. I wasn’t going to the college because of what happened yesterday. And now I’m definitely not going because that jackass sits next to me in every class.

“Hey, Jenn! Don’t you think when Alexandria was sleeping with Devilen it was cute?”

“It was adorable, especially with his jacket around her, right Joline?”

“You guys never give me a break. Do you?”

“Nope,” they said at the same exact time.

“Why did you dump water on his head anyway,” Joline asked.

“He gave me a hickey, little b*****d.”

“Aw! He gave you your first hickey. How sweet?”

“Shut up, JoJo!”

“Jenn! Alexandria yelled at me,” JoJo whined.

“Sandra, stop ruining our fun.” Then Jenn took a pillow and hit me with it.

“You’re the ones that started it.” I took the pillow and threw it to JoJo.

Thinking she was going to catch it, but it went through her. “Wait a minute …… You guys are dead!”

“No s**t Sherlock,” they said at the same time.

“That explains why you were floating, the way you came out of no where, and your outfits.”

Why didn’t I notice that before? Now everything made sense, why Joline was wearing a black gothic dress and why Jenn was wearing a black dress with red lace. They were both wearing black slippers. What kind of shocked me was their eye color changed. Joline’s were a dull blue, now they were black. Jennifer’s were brown, but now they were a dull red color. Their hair was the same though, JoJo’s hair was black with grey and white highlights and Jennifer’s hair was black with red highlights.

The big give away that said: “We’re dead;” was they had wings. I went to touch their wings. Joline’s wings were grey, soft, and feathery. Jennifer’s was black, pointy, and sharp. It took 5 minutes to absorb what they have become.
While I was taking all of that in Jenn said to JoJo, “Were friend with a moron.”

I came back to my senses and said, “It’s not my fault. I’m not used to the fact that you’re dead. And what are you guys anyway?”

“Were sort of like reapers for the devil. We convince people to commit suicide,” Joline answered gleefully.

“Hey Sandra,” Jenn said as if and idea popped in her head, “You should join us! You have two choices: kill yourself or use your magic to kill.”

“Let me think. No.”

“We’ll give you time to think it over when you go to school.”

“Says you! I’m not goin’ to school today.” I was getting mad real easy. Jennifer knows when I say no it meant no.

Then Jenn crossed her arms across her chest, gave me the look of death and said, “Excuse me! What did you say?”

Oh crap, she was getting mad, “I’ll think about it when I go to school. Just let me get ready.” That answer made Jennifer and Joline happy, so they disappeared, I think.

I looked at the clock and it was a quarter past 5am. I had enough time to take a shower, eat something and leave. I couldn’t help but say out loud, “Amazing, Jenn’s still the boss, even though she’s dead.”

When the alarm went off at 7am; I actually left the house and headed for the college.
