Somewhere in the distance, a school bell rang, as I was forced back into consciousness. I opened my eyes as the light of the mid-afternoon filled my surroundings. What the hell happened? How long was I out? Looking around, I could see this was the second time I've woken up in school. No surprise there, but what did surprise me was that I was still surrounded by students. Pulling myself up off the ground with the help of a locker nearby, I scanned the walls for a clock, and found one. I had been out for 10 minutes.

This day couldn't get any better. Looking around, I spotted who had hit me. Bob was standing with a smirk on his face, about to hit me again. I guessed by the position of his arm, when an unfamiliar teacher came walking by causing the group of kids to scatter.
"Is there a problem here gentlemen?" He asked, though guessing by his voice, I had a feeling he already knew there was, and therefore was trying to make us end it.
"No sir, me and Castor were just having a friendly chat. Right, Castor?" Bob asked, looking my direction.
"Yeah, thats right", I said through gritted teeth, as my head was exploding with pain. His punch did more damage than I would have guessed.

A little while later brought me out of my last class of the day, Mr. Passmore's geometry. I walked back to my locker and leaned on it, as the pain in my head quickly spread. I didn't think I could take this anymore, when she appeared.
"Tora, are you OK?" I gazed up to see Christie standing there, her long, brown hair to her shoulders, her beautiful brown eyes full of worry. I felt my face turn red as I stared into her eyes. She was wearing jeans and a pink sleeveless shirt, she looked amazing.
"Er... Yeah I'll be fine, thanks", I lied.
"I saw what happened," she explained, "He had no right to do that, I just wanted to make sure you were OK. You know, if you need anything, you can ask me" she said with a smile that melted my soul and left me speechless, as she walked away with a few of her friends. Maybe this day was getting better.

After my encounter with Christie, I headed on home. The air was cold and the sky was dark on this early November day. Walking home was something I chose to do. It let me get away from all the everyday pains of life. Something was odd about this walk home, the hairs on my neck were standing up, as if someone or something was following me. Quickening my pace, I heard footsteps following me. Going even faster, I kept heading north to my house, when I saw it out of the corner of my eye. Something large and hairy, about the size of a bear, and it was staring right at me. I started to back away and then I broke into a run, and it jumped right at me, claws stretched and fangs glistening in the pale sunlight. I was going to die here.
