Avi artz and random thingz
Drifting in and out of consciousness isn't as fun as it seems, then again it doesn't seem that fun at all when you think about it. One minute you're floating through space, the next you're in a hospital bed screaming in pain, or at least I was.

My body hurt. It hurt like hell. My ribs seemed to be broken, because every time I took a breath, it hurt. Not to mention my sliced up torso and my shoulder where that thing bit me. The words of the doctor still ran through my head. He called it an "experiment", and me the "Tiger Knight". Perhaps I had stumbled into one of those sci-fi shows. Except, this time... it was real.

I lay there until a knocking came at the door. Looking up, I saw it open, and Mr. Mad-Scientist-Doctor-Man walked in. This was going to be fun; a mad doctor and a defenseless patient in the same room. Hurray.

"Mr. Castor, I see you've gotten a bit better," he said as he walked over to examine a chart by the bed.
"No thanks to you," I muttered under my breath as he took my blood pressure. He gripped my arm hard; hard enough that I could feel it through the pain I was already in.
"Pity they got involved. I would've liked to see the real damage my experiment could've caused. But at least they brought you here," he said as he let my hand drop. Who was he talking about? Did someone save me? It would explian how I got here and how I wasn't dead. It answered some questions and formed new ones. He looked at me, I met his gaze but couldn't see his eyes as his glasses caught the light.
"You should be fit to go home soon, but I must say, if you tell anyone what happened... I'll kill everyone you love." The man said as he walked out the door. My heart beat faster than ever. What the hell was going on? And how did I get involved? Questions and more question's was all I had to go on.

A little while later another knock on the door woke me up. I sat up in bed with a wince as pain struck. The door opened and a middle-aged man walked in. He was tall; maybe six feet, salt and pepper hair and an athlete's tan that he had gotten in his younger years. I knew him personally. After all, he was my father. He came over to the bedside as he kneeled down a bit. "Hello, dad. How's life?" I asked as he gripped my hand with a shocked expression.
"What in God's name happened to you, son? They said you were hit by a truck on your way home from school. I was here yesterday, but you were sleeping," he said, stumbling over his words. A truck again, eh? Well, it was better than telling him a rampaging dog monster attacked me and I was rescued by a group of people whom I hadn't the faintest idea of who, what or where they might be.

Two days later I was released from the hospital. Turns out I had been there for a week. During the time, I was visited by Christie Janics from school. She had heard the rumor that the truck had hit me or whatever the rumor was. She was actually worried about me, I can't believe it! That was probably the only good thing that came out of this situation. I told her I'd be back at school in no time, and then she had left. I hadn't seen much of Mad-Scientist-Doctor-Man, but that was a good thing as well... I guess.

It hurt to walk, seeing as I was still sore, but the nurses had given me some medicine to get over it. Walking down a hallway with my father at my side, we came to the lobby. It was a big one at that, but I think all hospital lobbies are big. There was a fountain to my left where people had thrown pennies in; probably wishing for loved ones to get better. It was sad, money could even buy wishes now. Walking straight from the fountain, we came to the automatic doors, as early-morning sunlight filled my vision. Walking through them, I was hit with the fresh October air. The smell of fall filled my nose as I looked around.

"Mr. Castor, we would like a moment with you," said a voice as I turned to see a group of men dressed in black. And, of course, no one else was around. Great, now I had the Men In Black after me too. Things could only get worse...
