I don't mind running. Heck I could probably run for the school's track team if I didn't think competition was for idiot's who just want to try and prove their "manliness". But literally running for my life is a different story. If I stopped even for a second to catch my breath or glance back, this thing would be on me in an instant. I had no clue what it is, or why it chose me for its dinner tonight, but I wasn't about to turn around and ask. 'Sides I had a feeling it might not tell me much anyway with all the snarling and growling it was doing.
The sky was already dark when I had started to run away. The street lamps casted dancing shadows on the ground. I headed back east from the direction I started when Monster-Face decided I'd be a perfect meal. I didn't have much of a plan, seeing as this whole thing happened kind of randomly and all. So I just kept running, but what I found even odder was that the way I chose to go was empty: no houses, no people, no stores, just endless road and I was starting to get very tired.
Deciding to see if Monster-McGee was still following me, I peeked backwards and tripped. I didn't even notice until I hit the ground, falling on my hands thanks to sudden instinct. And to my horror the thing was towering above me by the time I looked back up. Now that I looked at it, I noticed a lot of things. Its fur was black and red, it had a muzzle with fang's pointing out every which way that looked like an imitation of a great white shark. Its body was muscular and in the shape of a fox more than anything, with long talon's for fingers. It stared at me with glowing red eyes. I was frozen in fear.
It took no time to jump on its prey which, unfortunately, was yours truly. I felt its weight hit me like a car, crushing my ribs as I let out a gasp of pain, unable to regain my lost breath. Its talons came down as quick as a bullet, tearing my body up with pain that was like a million hot knives slicing my skin. I tried to move, but couldn't. It might've been only a little taller then me, but its weight was four times mine, as it crushed me just by siting on me. I felt it; I felt the pain as his muzzle and fangs tore into the area between my shoulder blade and neck. I felt the blood pour down my body, felt the incoming sense of death as my vision filled with blackness. And I heard the sound of hundreds of boots stomping on the ground with men yelling, as I felt my body become free of the sudden weight as the creature screamed in pain, all before I passed out... Perhaps never to wake up again...
