Yeah yeah, I know.....I've been back from that trip for awhile now and haven't updated my journal. I'm naughty I know. To be quite honest I just didn't feel like it. I'm really strapped for time anymore and I didn't really have enough time to sit and talk about everything with the wedding. I will do my best right now to just give a brief summary.
Things started out ok. Nothing too crazy. It was hotter than hell out and it was an outside wedding with NO SHADE. Need I say more about that. Anyways, the wedding got started and things were ok.....till it was time for the flowergirls to walk. Caitlin decided at the last minute she didn't want to go and started to cry. But we did get her to walk down with the other girls and she pouted the entire way. I snagged her finally and we sat down.....only for her to through a HUGE fit during the ceremony because she wanted to run around.
So I had to leave the damn ceremony and carry her kicking and yelling back inside. I was pissed but maintained for the couples sake. I sat with her till the nuptuals were over and they came back in. She was calmer by then which was good because it was time for pictures. So we filed out through the front entrance to walk around back while all the guests filed in from the back to sit down.
Took pictures which went well and then we all finally got to come back inside to sit down and eat. Food was good I guess. By the time I gotdone trying to get caitin to eat and constantly running her to the bathroom my food was pretty much cold. But what I did eat was good. They finally did the toast and cut the cake and then it was time for the music and dancing. Caitlin got up and ran around for a bit but wasn't listening too well and didn't stay near me so we had someone take her back to Andys moms till we got done.
After that I finally had a big sigh of relief. Caitlin and the heat really put me through hell that day and I was glad to finally relax. I sat and talked to some people, finished eating and actually got a piece of cake. Eventually things slowed down and it was coming to a close. Since Andy was the bestman I didn't see him at all till nearer the end when he came to sit with me. We started gathering up our things and walked outside with everyone else that was left. We decided that we'd all go change and then meet back at Brads house (the only groomsman) to talk and whatever.
We went back to Andys mom to check on Caitlin and change. once we knew things were cool we headed over to brads and sat there till sometime around midnight. Off to my moms we went to get some much needed sleep. Boy were we both tired. Got up the next day and didn't do much of anything, but can you blame us?? Some other drama happened as well but no need to get into that. Like the rehearsal dinner. THAT was interesting. That was friday evening and the wedding itself was saturday around 4pm.
So there you have it folks. My ever so wonderful wedding weekend. Ugh......I guess that's all for now. I don't have anything else to report except that we've started planning our wedding now. It's not for another year but planning ahead is good....and stressful....
