hey everyone... this is a book i have been working on for months so... every couple of days i'll put a new entry of the series in... fun right?
Prologue
A chill flew up the young boy's spine as he watched the girl he loved fall off the cliff into the gorge. While he, a powerful assassin, stood powerless as the guards drug him away. "MISTRESS!" he yelled, as he was being hauled off. "Silence boy . . . for now you will be held in the local prison until your trial . . . ," a large man said as he grasped the boy's neck.
Chapter One: Awakening
I awoke in a cold sweat, clutching my neck in my waking nightmare. My golden blonde hair fell to my face as I stared down to the sword resting next to me. My yellow eyes always told me apart from the other fox/wolf demons. As I stood to walk to the bathroom, a familiar voice shouted from the streets, "Ryo! You lazy bum. Wake up!" shouted the girls voice that shook me awake. It was my little sister, Yuki, who was yelling at me. "Yuki, you little-! Never mind, just wait down there for a minute . . . I'll be right down . . . " I shouted as I put on my red Demon Slayers jacket. As I walked outside I was greeted by a bellhop who had been pestering me since I got there. "Dude C̀mon and pay up already!" the bellhop yelled. I just glared at him, "Jimmy will you just give it up. I am not going to apologize for killing your demon friends!" I shouted at me. After bashing Jimmy over the head, I walked over to Yuki who was sitting there fiddling with her sword. "Nii-sama you’re finally awake you lazy bum!" Yuki yelled at me while she ran up to me. I had never had an easy-going attitude when it came to her hyperness. "Onii-chan you need to calm down or else....." I said in a stern voice. Yuki stood there a bit frightened by my voice, " You would actually hurt me" she said as she started to tear up. "Onii-chan no more of that old fake cry crap ok?" I asked her in a very annoyed voice. She just groaned and agreed with me, her black hair and odd clothes made her stand out. For you see, Yuki was a vampire, not just a vampire but a pure blood (they are rare nowadays). I had a hard time controlling my little sister even though I was a very powerful demon slayer. " Ok Yuki, is there anything else we need to do before we get on the train?" I asked Yuki as I slung the bag full of demon slayer weapons on my shoulder. Yuki stood there and thought for a second. "Let's see we have your equipment, the hide, the food, and all the other stuff. So yeah we got everything!" I stood there and stared at Yuki in a way that made her burst out laughing. "Ryo why are you so weird all the time?" she said trying to hold in the rest of her laughter. I just glared at her and she stopped laughing, she knew if she didn't shut up, she might regret it. "Yuki you do realize you can be a royal pain in the arse. Don't you?" I asked while I read the train ticket. Yuki just punched me in the arm and told me where we were going, "We are headed to Cannikin Town, or has your major stupidity overlapped your memory." I grabbed Yuki and flung her over my shoulder causing her to complain over the whole event. We had been traveling for quite some time and we were used to leaving old friends behind but not so used to the feeling of a new town. And so we boarded the train and as usual the people of the town waved goodbye to their heroes.
