Chibi Pirate Chapter 3
Chapter 3: A Private Dinner
That morning was spent in a very boring manner. Rebecca and Winnie were looking out at the ocean surronding them, discussing names for the ship. "Pixie?" Winnie suggested. "No, too sissy." Rebecca corrected. "Death?" she suggested. "No, A: I think that's taken, B: Gives me the heebie-jeebies." Winnie denied. "That's the whole point in naming a pirate ship." Rebecca sneered. "We have to name the ship something that'll terrify the living daylights out of someone." They thought for a minute, then Winnie suggested, "Michael Jackson?" Rebecca couldn't help but laugh. "I don't know. I was gonna suggest Barney the Purple Dinosaur." The two began laughing at that little joke. "But seriously, What're we gonna name the ship?" Rebecca asked aloud, propping her head on her hand. Lucky for them, Rose was walking by and heard the question. "How about 'Gorgon'?" she suggested. The two looked at her in confusion. "Gorgon?" Rebecca asked. "Like Medusa. She was a Gorgon." Rose explained. Rebecca and Winnie looked at eachother and nodded, idicating that they both liked it. "It's good." Winnie commented. "I like it." Rebecca said, a smile growing on her face. "Our presence is enough to stop our victims in their tracks, as if being frozen in stone!" "Thanks, Rose!" Winnie thanked her. "Your welcome." Rose said with a smile. "Oh, Rebecca, Captain has a favor for you to do." Rebecca nodded and walked to the Captain's quarters. Later, Alejandro heard a loud knocking sound, disrupting his peaceful dreams. Rebecca walked in, a bundle of clothes underneath her arm and, with a smile, greeted, "Morinin', Sleepin' Beauty!" Alejandro tried to wave her away, attempting to fall back to sleep. "Oooh, not a morning person, are ya?" Rebecca joked, "You got any plans this morning?" Alejandro took a minute and then, with a great deal of attitude, said, "Attempt to hang myself." "Well, cancel it!" Rebecca said, choosing this instead of whacking him upside the head, "The Captain has invited you to breakfast in her quarters. And she requests you wear this." She tossed the bundle of clothes at him. He held them up to view for a second and tossed them back at her. "I'd rather stab myself in the eye." Alejandro said bitterly, still fuming with anger at the fact that he'd been kidnapped. With a smirk, Rebecca added, "She thought you'd say that. She also said if that be the case, you'll be dining with the crew..." Alejandro merely scoffed at it, until Rebecca finished her sentence, "Stark naked." Alejandro thought it over, then stood up and snatched the clothes from Rebecca's hand. Clearly disappointed, Rebecca fumed, "Fine! Be that way." She turned off and returned to her spot next to Winnie.

A little later, Elaine heard a knock on the door to her quarters. "Come in." She called. Alejandro opened the door and ,still standing in the doorway, asked , "You wanted to see me, senorita?" "Why, yes. Please, sit." Elaine said, gesturing to one of the dining chairs. She only got a glance at him as he walked in, but suddenly became entranced by him. He was dressed in a white, slightly-puffed shirt, a brown jacket, black jeans, tan boots and a red scarf tied around his head. Apparantly, Elaine wanted him to feel like part of the crew during his stay. But, there was something that Elaine saw in him that made her wonder why he was so angry about being kidnapped by her; being close to her. But, Elaine tried to remain true to the role she was taking as the intimidating pirate captain, decided it to be best not to think of him this way right now. Alejandro retained the qualities of the polite governor's son, remaining quiet as he began to eat. "We're just a bunch of pirates." Elaine smirked, "You don't need to impress us. Besides, you must be hungry." Alejandro thought it over, then ignored the manners he'd been taught as a child. Attempting to be hospitable, Elaine kindly offered him a glass of wine, to which he accepted. She watched him scarf down his food, while she herself wasn't very hungry, eating slowly. Once again being hospitable, she offered him a green apple this time. However, this time, Alejandro became hesitant. He heard a rumor floating around that a green apple was deadly. "It's poisoned..." he muttered to himself. Elaine laughed. "No, no. There's no sense in killing you." "Then let me go. What do you need me for?" Alejandro pleaded. "We need a jumpstart in our career. The ransom we put on you would help us greatly." Elaine insistedly pushed the apple into Alejandro's hands. Alejandro nervously glanced at the apple, thinking he could be killed just by sailing in the same boat as pirates anyway. Shurgginig his suspicion off, he took a bite of the apple. "So, tell me a little bit about yourself." Elaine asked, placeing her head in her hands. Alejandro took a minute to think, then said, "My mother died giving birth to me and my father was governor, meaning he wasn't always around, but he tried to spend as much time with me as he could. My best friend was the maid of our house, Dorinda. My life was what every peasant kid would dream of, but I wanted a life of adventure. Kind of like a pirate's." With a smirk, he added, "I actually felt like becoming a pirate, not being kidnapped by one." Elaine couldn't help but laugh a little. "How about yourself?" Alejandro asked. "Me?" Elaine started, "Well, for about a quarter of my life, it seemed pretty normal. Then, my father joined the Navy." As she continued on, Alejandro could've sworn that he heard her voice breaking a little and her eyes tearing up just a bit. "He would go out to sea for months at a time. I was always the happiest girl alive when he would come back. But one day, he...he never did." By now, a tear ran down Elaine's face. "A crewmate of his told me and my mother that..." Elaine couldn't finish; the emotion that bulit up completely overtook her at that instant. She buried her face in her hands, sobbing. If there was one thing that Alejandro couldn't stand, it was watching someone cry. He comfortingly placed his hand on her back, which soothed just a bit. After a few seconds, Elaine finished her sentence, "The Spainish privateers that he was sent against...dashed the ship to pieces. He went down with them, to meet Davy Jones." Saying that recharged the emotion that made her miserable in the first place and she leaned against Alejandro for emotional support, clutching him close. "And as if that wasn't enough, years later, My...my mother forgot all about him and had the audacity to let herself be wooed by another man. After she accepted him, she became so abusive and hated me...that's why I left and became a pirate." She began to cry even harder. Alejandro soothingly stroked her auburn hair and kissed her head, comforting Elaine a great deal. After a few seconds, Elaine became very comfortable being held by Alejandro and told him, her face turning pink with blush, "You're...you're a very easy person to talk to, Alejandro You're a nice, sweet and comforting person." "Gracias." Alejandro said. Silence overtook for a split second. Then, Elaine returned to her seat and the two returned to their meal in silence. But not before Elaine said, "Thank you, Alejandro, for listening to my story."

Aww, kawaii! 4laugh They sound like such a cute couple, no? Poor Elaine, I'd hate that woman too. But things'll get better for them. I promise. wink

P.S. I'll only accept bad comments from my friends.

P.P.S I will not continue until I get some suggestions. Or else my story'll be all over the place and that'd suck, wouldn't it? cry
