My dog Max went in for his first heartworm treatment on wensday, hes home now and I'm doing what i was told but i can't help bu worry about him because he is my best friend. When I got him it was not i who chose him he was the one that came up to me and started nibbling on my fingers whie i was looking for a animal 9 years ago. he was 4-8 months old when I brought him home from the animal shelter. He has had heartworms for a year now he got them from the fleas that attack him because he was forced to be an outside dog by my moms boyfriend when he turned a year old. I'm worried bcause if he gets to excited and gets his heart pumping blood too fast the dying heartworms will blcok his heart and he can die from this treatment if not careful. Sigh if ever I needed comfroting now is the time because i can lose the one friend that means the world to me if something goes wrong.
This is not a game nor am i lying about my dog I hope everything turns out for the best because i would be so heart broken if anything were to happen to my Max.
