When we were passing notes in class that one day, I felt something.
You asked me this:
"Are you my friend?"
I wanted to flick the piece of paper back,
but the teacher came by.
So, in return,
I smiled at you.
September 12th, was it?
Yes, I'm quite sure.
When we became best friends...
Those 9 months were the happiest moments I've ever lived.
I truly mean that.
Everyday I think of you, and smile.

Even though it was a while back,

I cried, and cried when you gave me that look.
When it was time to go back to school,
Before I got on the bus,
You grabbed my arm and brought me behind a tree.
"I don't ever want to talk to you again. Leave me alone."
You just left me to rot.
I should have said yes when you asked me if I liked you.
I knew you liked me.
I feel no emotion when you pop into my head.
