A Week Later
This week had been long for two and short for the rest. The week was long for Hikaru and Yumi. Yumi because she was being their pet, getting them stuff and always being looked over on, to make she that she doesn’t tell anyone that Haruhi is a girl. Long for Hikaru because he was emotionally confused… he thinks he loves Yumi. They always have fun even though she has only been around for a week. He didn’t know what to tell his brother as well, since they did everything together. He didn’t want Kaoru to be mad at him for liking someone without his brother falling in love with a girl at the same time. He couldn’t bear this confused feeling.
Everyone was currently in the Host Club, relaxing. Except for Hikaru who kept on fidgeting. He had a worried look in his eyes, he always had his hand over his mouth and he didn’t bother even to try doing brotherly love with Kaoru. His brother looked at him and sighed. “Hikaru… what’s wrong?” He asked. Hikaru sighed and held his own arm. “Kaoru, I need to tell you something…” He said looking down at the floor. Kaoru looked a little surprised. “Anything, Hikaru.” Kaoru assured him. The fangirls blushed; thinking is was a brotherly love routine. “In private.” He said getting up, and then walking off. Kaoru got up as well, fallowing his brother into the hall and into the bathroom. Once they were both inside and made sure no one was there, Hikaru locked the door.
“What’s up? You’ve been acting strange ever since a few days ago.” Kaoru asked folding his arms and looking at Hikaru. “I… think I love Yumi…” He whispered, his orange hair drooping over his face. Kaoru’s eyes went wide. He took a few steps closer to Hikaru, and leaned in. His eyes looked down at him. “What?” He asked simply. “I think I love Yumi.” He repeated louder looking at Kaoru dead in the eye. Kaoru then looked shocked, he was speechless. He looked away, biting his lip hard. Hikaru took his brothers arm to make look at him once more. “If you’re not okay with this I understand…” Hikaru whispered looking away from Kaoru. Kaoru sighed. “We were supposed to fall in love together, share this experience with one another…” He reminded him. Hikaru frowned, he looked down again. “I know that Kaoru. How was I supposed to know she would sweep me off my feet? I never knew she was going to leave me head-over-heels in love.” Hikaru said looking upset. Kaoru stared at him, he smiled at his brother. “You love her that much?” He asked him. Hikaru nodded with a deep breath. Kaoru put his hand around his brother’s hip. “Remember how we used to do things? If a girl likes one, who ever she likes the other one pretends to be him. How about we do that? I go on 1 date with Yumi, and if she is good material then you can date her. But if she is bad…” Kaoru smirked. Hikaru looked at his brother and smiled as well. “Another heart goes in the trash.” He finished the sentence. Kaoru held out his hand with a huge grin. “Deal?” He asked. Hikaru took his brothers hand and shook it. “Deal.” He grinned back.
The Twins went back into the Host Club, Hikaru returning happy. They gave the girls what they wanted there ‘brotherly love’ routine.
