aw fic [ serali x archer ] I
    x I. xxxxx

A cloudy morning greeted Serali as she arose from her bed. Scanning the room, it seemed that Kuriisu and the four Koihime Musō girls had already left during the night. She felt much better than the chaotic morning before. That ice pack must have done some good. Other than the rain pouring outside, what be worse than that?

After completing her self maitenence, she headed for the kitchen. For some odd reason, it was filled with all the other heroes. Seeing Seraphim, Zack, and Tetsuro stuck in there making fail waffles with a frying pan and a toaster, she took a fresh waffle from them and fled before the pack turns into the cause of suffocation and death.

Escape from carbon dioxide and a possible fire incident was necessary.

In the hall, the voices of two familiars could be heard in the Serali's direction.

"I'm not asking how you plan to excecute this. What I'm asking is, why?"

"I want to make a world in which everyone could be happy! A world where no one would suffer!"

They were from Cross and Archer, and they were giving each other verbal beatings. Whatever this perfect and happy world they were speaking of, Serali took an amusement to that and walked a few steps close to them to interfere.

"If you wanted to create a utopia, then everyone would have to agree, ri—" Archer was about to say more to the boy until he noticed Serali waking a few steps closer to them. He had to acknowlege her presence. "Sarah."

"You know, people chose war instead of peace. Maybe that's what they wanted to do, fight without an end..." Serali started to say with an eased tone. "Reality...can be sad sometimes, and it's not going to get any better with such extreme idealism you have in mind."

Knowing that he would lose his optimism if he stayed much longer, Cross left. He just wanted to think, believing that the two would tear his world apart to no end. The red knight and the magical girl were both alone.

"I wonder if he's going to change those ideals of his." Archer turned to see the younger girl, who responded with, "He's still gonna cling onto them."

"Clinging onto them..." Archer muttered, lost in thought. Remembering he was like that too, he did not expect to snap out of it soomer. Well, he was Shirō Emiya once...

"In my world, the ones who don't have the ideals would be dead. It also applies to the ones that were lost. I...just...lost them," she said, nibbling on her waffle. "I wasn't able to believe in it any more than I should be."

Archer crossed his arms. "Hm? What is this ideal that you don't believe in?" he asked, wondering if he could poke fun of her.

The brunette found her face reddening a little. There wasn't a reason to. Was he prying in too deep? Or was she saying more than she should have? Thinking about that, she hid part of her face with her scarf. She was going to say what she was supposed to believe; she was not supposed to be like this.

Outside, the rain poured harder, mixing in to the chatter and conversation made indoors. It would take her half a minute of less to reply with a few seconds of words. Serali glanced at the window with the already cold waffle. By letting the clock run to ten seconds, she spoke her response, having a moment pass.

    "I don't believe in love."
