. . .
unrealistic scenario.
    "Sarah. Wake up."

As soon as I open my eyes, I rubbed them gently. "Nn. What is it?" From the car's steering wheel, Dad said, "Wake up Travis. We're almost here." I did what I did. My brother doesn't wake up so easily. Still, I gave him a light push to the arm.

    "Travis. Get up. We're almost...here."

And he would speak in a bitter tone, "...I already am." His head hing from the neck and his hands dangled from the knees. He didn't have to be like that, the p***k he aleady is. But it's too late to stop him.

So I kept my mouth shut.

    "You'll like it here."

Or so my dad says while driving. I wonder what kind of lie was that. But I don't question anything about that to him, only because of a series of complications that would take place. And Mom? She and my annoying as hell sister Jennifer were already an hour and a half away from where this small white car was heading for down the winding freeways.

Downtown San Jose. A place where I used to live. Now, the family will be split apart; something that hasn't been done before. No, my parents are not divorced, or going to be for that matter. Not would they ever plan it. It's just that my brother Travis and I were to attend school there. With dorms and stuff so that we can 'manage ourselves'.

I love my family so much.

So it's just three years of highschool until graduation. Freshman year was hell, but it's not like Sophmore year's will get any better. Especially since that Travis was going to be a Senior, it's more than likely that he would cause as much trouble for me as he could.

Which is a completely valid reason to avoid your siblings. If you contain an irrational hatred for each other, of course. But really, we're going to be in living in the same building together, so it's close to impossible.

Travis would be playing some game on his PSP. Grand theft Auto? I thought so. Obviously it wasn't an RPG. Because he thinks that weeabos like me play it. And he would insults them too. Honestly, he'll be one son of a b***h when he grows up.

But he's my older brother, so maybe I should respect him.

    No.

He doesn't deserve it. And most of my family as well. That's because they don't even have a single clue what it's like being someone else. But it's life, so what the heck.

But I just can't accept it, either.

And still that little car rolls its wheels on the road while I gazed from out the window and listened to some old music that my dad put up. Being the typical parent he was, he peered through the rearview mirror and started to sing. Loud and terrible. Off key. I couldn't even tolerate it.

    And he wouldn't stop.

But the car would keep moving forward... All the way...all the way...

In just fifteen minutes worth of time, the city came into view. People waking down the crosswalk, cars passing by...

There was the occasional shopping area, a business here and there. The infants were there and they couldn't stop weeping until their mothers calm them down. And there was the even less-than-ocassional businessman.

    Meh.

So much going on in cities like San Jose lately.

It just might appear to be a normal day for everyone. Even when school is starting in a few weeks.

    And then, BAM!

An atmosphere of dear and panic rose to the city. Running to random buildings, screaming in circles, even jumping to the underground sewers. Travis dropped his PSP and a "clackety" could be heard as it made its way to the floor. Behind the wheel, Dad tried to stay calm. For a parent, he needs some work on his composure.

I just got out of the car.

    And slammed it shut.

    ----------

Common sense would say, "SARAH. GET BACK IN THE CAR." But I didn't.

Something told me, "Stop. This." But I wasn't able to tell who. Obviouly, it wasn't Dad or Travis; they were still in the car, their muffled voices screaming that I should get back in.

"If you want power, it's right here."

    I'm fully aware of that.

    "SARAH! Get back in here!"

No, I refuse to get back in. See what it's like to not listen to me, Travis?

    "You have it."

I know. I've had this power since I was a kid.

    "Now stop this."

I will. And I'm going to.

A red wing-shaped crystal hung around on my belt. I pulled it off, revealing my staff, the DOOM.stick, from its white glow. As anyone would have known... I'm a Magical Girl. Born to protect for the sake of Love and Justice.

As if. This is where the Antithesis concept goes in.

This is a world of judgement and predjudice, and not peace and love and all that crap. Of course there will be someone who couldn't reach the expectations of their kind, sometimes even the opposite of what they're supposed to be. They are the discriminated. Indeed, they are the main scum of society.

And that is an Antithesis. The gist of it, really.

Looking toward the confict, it seems that it's everywhere. Now I could see why the masses were in fear. A zombie invasion is out, and the police and anyone with huge weapons and could fight is helping out against the conflict.

"Fire! Hold them back!" "We have to go get those people out of here!" "Dammit! Where's that blaster!?"

    Insert more testosterone-inducing noises here.

Leaping into the air, my feet began to defy the pains of gravity just one foot at a time. A giant mecha stood out in my view, blasting away the undead. I landed on the cold metal of its 'shoulder'. Just then, a glass pane rolled down. Turns out that it was a boy, and not a man, was piloting it. He was blonde, and fairly attractive, I had to admit at that time.

    "Hey! It's too—"

Loud beeps and some vibration rose from the mecha. I took a peek inside. Apparently, that boy was holding a small box labeled 'MGK.GRRL R4D4R'. ...Eh? What is that thing...? I thought. Meh... Barely I could delve in there just a bit closer.

He looked right at me. "You're level ten, Potentially Catastophic... Hey~ Are you also an Antithesis?" he asked.

    I had to answer. "Yeah."

"You're in! Join us!" The boy made a wide grin. It seemed that he accepted Antitheses despite the amount of hate that we normally recieve. Still, it's just a title that the people developed out of fear and hate, but not insight. I simply nodded. "Sarah. Your name?"

"Zack!" he shouted. Perhaps the chaos from below was pretty loud. "Let's go! It's just getting started!"

    ----------

It's not easy for people who understand who you really are. But for some reason, Zack managed to understand it. Most people don't really get what 'Antithesis' really means and just put it as the term we have now.

    Crash. Bang. Boom.

The city hadn't actually been destroyed yet, only a couple broken walls, windows, doors...you name it.

Sometime in this calamity, Zack's mecha...exploded into a million pieces. Out came him with a white parachute, holding and shooting a bazooka of some kind. He seemed perfectly fine, so I didn't ask.

And here I was, fending off dead things...with bullets and missiles shot from the staff. Plus a stab and a whack every so often. It seemed that the undead were completely unrelated to disease-spreading viruses that makes them turn into zombies. When the bite someone, nothing happens. Even after ten minutes or so.

    Nothing.

It's so weird. It's not like from movies and video games and the media. It's. So. Different. But they still act on their own, being the dead things that they are.

Just then: Shuriken. At the left eye of a 'zombie'. Not ninja stars. If someone said that, I would slap them right in the face. The one who threw them was a black-haired boy who landed right on his feet from the sky.

"...Who are you...?" I asked. But before he could reply, he disappeared after someone shouting, "TETSURO! We need your help!" Tetsuro, I'm assuming, is his name.

    . . .

    Back to work.

Zack was shooting lethal randomness out of the bazooka-thing of his. Lasers, missiles, bullets, you name it. Soon, his green eyes widened at the sight of a red eyed boy; white hair and light teal streaks, breaking down and destroying parts of the city. "...No way... This can't be...!"

    "Zack? What's wrong?"

"...He shouldn't have made it out alive after he escaped...!" He was stanging still, but his body tensed up and shook a little. What did Zack mean? I wanted to know. But seeing him in a state like this, I couldn't help but not to do so... The boy in white also disappeared right after that.

With no one calling out his name.

    ----------

You would think that giant, rampaging T-Rexes appeared only in movies. Well, you're wrong.Everyone can say that the world is a big place. Though, it's hard enough to know everything socially, mentally, physically. Everything.

And this girl standing in front of me. She is just one freaking exception.
