Being sick sucks
gonk I've caught something and it sucks.

But on a happier note; My brother is planning on getting a booth at Ikkicon in January. He found some neat stuffs online from a company in England that sells (wholesale) Steam and Cyber Punk stuff

He wants me to sell my art and crafts there also. So far I have about 10 health masks cut and pressed, ready to be sewn. 4 Human sized 4 SD (1/3 scale) and 2 MSD (1/4 scale). Also have a EGA (Elegant Gothic Aristocrat - basically the Lolita version of Victorian) skirt almost finished. Just need to add lining, trim and a closure (most likely a button at the top of a zipper). Then I was going to make a matching top.. most likely fairly low-cut with 3/4 sleeves and lot's of lace/trim to match the skirt (that's what will tie them together as an outfit)

I'm also going to make bustles and try to get some hoop-petticoats like this and this. I'll likely just get one of each and have people place orders for them so I won't end up with too many or not enough.

Goddamn my head hurts! Sinus headache.. at least it isn't the usual tension headache, I guess.

Going to the fabric store today (it's 4:30am.. I've been up sense 1:00 ).. I'm planing on wearing my new lolita dress that I just finished along with a health mask I picked up at the last anime convention.. is white with 'blood' spatter... I was thinking of making a quick 'bloody' apron to go with it, but 1: I don't have the fabric and 2: it would cover one of the main design elements of the dress (the ^ shaped opening in the front that the black under-skirt shows through).. Is so cute! It's knee-length, white with a mandrin collar with black trim, poofy short sleeves with black cuffs, a black bow in the back, and a kind of sailor/barret hat with a black stripe around it... it's supposed to have a big, droopy bow at the base of the collar, but I'm too lazy to make it right now...

I need to make some black bloomers to go with it.. maybe I'll pick up a pattern for some shorts at the fabric store and just make a much larger size than I need so they'll be nice and fluffy.. I'm also going to pick up some Victorian patterns.. I have 2 but neither have the style of top I want to go with that skirt (which is a navy blue brocade, by the way)

Funny thing about that skirt; I was going to make it plain with ruffle at the bottom, but accidently cut out the pattern a couple sizes too small so there was a big gap in it. I just sewed up both sides (even where it was supposed to be open for the closure) and cut the back in half. Then I added a large, ruffled piece that was longer than the rest of the skirt and rounded the hem so it makes a bit of a train, then added a large bow at the waist to hide the fact that the waist band doesn't go all the way around. The closure is going to be on one side of the bustle. The trim will add a bit of weight to the train to keep the edges from flipping up and the lining will help it last longer dragging along the floor. The lining will have to be sewn in by hand to hide any stitching along the main edges (the waist band mostly)

My damn nose won't stop leaking! It's driving me crazy! Do you know how hard it is to type with a tissue in one hand? Blah! I feel like s**t.
