Mi Vida Reborn
Just some random stuff in my mind. May have random fanfics, adult language, high levels of sarcasm, and themes not suitable for those who are young and/or sane. You have been warned
With You (part 2 chapter 7)
I never got a chance to thank those who are actually reading this fan fiction. I haven't received anything bad about it, so I guess you are enjoying it. Though I do have one person who thinks I should hop off of Hyuga. But ******** that talk2hand Saw some possible concept art of him. Let me tell you that he looks awesome.

Anyway, going to be slowing down the updates intentionally now. It's not that many chapters left in Part 2 and I cut the ficlets to 4 pieces (actually 3, but one had to be split) I had originally planned for about 7-8, but then Part 3 sprang in my mind and I decided that I will post the ones that will be mentioned in Part 3. Speaking of Part 3, I'm up to chapter 3 of that one. I have no idea about how long I want to have it. I'm just writing as I go along. I don't even have a solid action-like plot set up. I only have the Ami/Hyuga portion set up (and that one person who told me to hop off of Hyuga is going to be a bit happy about what's coming up). And let me tell you, I'm borrowing elements from PS: Portable 2 (like the new uniforms and such). It's going to be slightly AUish since most of the PSU story is online and I don't play online. Weird now my fanfic is along the same time line as the game.

Chapter 7

Hyuga kept watching as Ami walked out of the Relics. He wanted to go after her, but he couldn't. Especially since she seemed not to remember him. He looked to his side to see what she threw at him, and his eyes widened. It was Ami's ribbon, the same one she had Ethan deliver to him when he was being captive on the Hive. "Hyuga....Hyuga!" shouted Ethan through the comm-unit. "I'm not deaf." "Oh." he said, "Well you didn't respond for a while so we got worried." Then Karen came in on the conversation. "Did you catch the culprit?" He shook his head. "No. I didn't. But there's a reason why." That's when Emil and Kyoh started listening in. "What is it? It has to be a good reason." Emil said. He sighed a bit. "That woman, it was Ami." Everyone was silent. Hyuga took the time to take a Monomate. "She's different, but it's her. I'll explain it when we meet back up." He shut off his unit and went to pick up the ribbon. Even though Ami didn't remember him technically, she must have some feeling of familiarity for him. For she did not aim at any of his vital spots. He placed the ribbon in his pocket and began to rendezvous with the others.

The ride back to the Colony was filled with Hyuga explaining his encounter with Ami. "And we are sure it's her?" Emil asked. Hyuga nodded. "Yeah, it is. She doesn't remember mentally though. But she must have remembered on a emotional level." Ethan suggested, "Maybe Magashi done something to her." Karen said, "Most likely, infect her with the Seed-Virus." Hyuga had always suspected that it might be the case. He knew better than anyone what it felt. "But it doesn't cause memory loss." Karen shrugged. "There's still a lot of stuff we don't know about the virus. I'm sure Lou would go and send the information to Maya to analyze." "But then there was..." Hyuga started. "What?" asked Ethan. "It's nothing really. But I saw a discolored ring around her ankle." Karen explained, "That's not because of what's happening now." Kyoh nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, it was from the first Seed attack at the colony." Emil became surprised. "Kyoh, did a Guardian save Ami when the ground gave away?" He nodded. Emil turned his back for a moment. "Hmm, I thought the hairstyle looked familiar." He turned to them again. "I was that Guardian." Kyoh sat down. "You should be happy. She became a Guardian because of that." Emil shook his head. "Believe me, I am. Anyway, we can do all of this later. We all have to go and report this mission as a failure."

A couple days has passed since then. Despite reporting their findings about Ami, the group was still denied the request to go to the Hive. "But why sir?" asked Ethan. He was trying his best to hide the uneasiness in his voice. "We showed you proof that she is alive." "But," said Dallgun, "you've also shown that she has ties with Magashi. There is evidence that the group Magashi works for is planning something with the Relics that house the gates. Lou finished analyzing the data that was copied and all of them has something to do with the gates." Lou stepped forward. "Based on the data, we figured that they are trying to reverse the effects of Unification Point." Emil asked, "How is that possible?" "Theoritically speaking, it could be possible to infect the Relics with a virus that reverses the action." "So instead of driving away the Seed, it will bring them." Karen suggested. Lou breifly nodded. "Though the probability of it suceeding is ten percent. It still houses a great threat." Dallgun left his seat to the window. "You five have been through a lot. I'll have Intelligence go and keep tabs on Ami. For the time being, we have to consider her an enemy." Then he turned to face them. "Now go and rest, it must have been a tiring day for you all."

The next day, Hyuga was on Moatoob to do some free missions. He had just come out of the Tenora Works shop in Dagora City. Amongst the crowds of people, he saw a familiar figure walking to the G-flyer base. 'That couldn't be her. Could it?' He saw the figure walk up the stairs to the base. It looked as if she was talking to someone. Since he too was going the same way, he followed along.

With some careful maneuvering, Hyuga had managed to follow the person to a part of the Kugu desert. The woman jumped out of the ship. "So it's here?" There was no mistaking that it was Ami. He got off of the ship as well. Ami walked into an abandoned cave. Before Ami could reach the entrance, she stopped. "You don't have to hide you know." she shouted. Hyuga came from his spot to confront Ami. "It's you again?" She took out a saber. He put his hands up in a peaceful way. "I'm not here to fight, just to talk." She stared at him for a few moments before lowering the blade. Ami turned around and opened the passage to the cave. "We'll talk in here. This way, Magashi-sama won't be able to track me."

The two walked into the cave for a bit. "So what is it?" she asked. "Just wanted to know what happened after Magashi abducted you." Hyuga admitted. She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. My earliest memory is walking up somewhere with Magashi-sama." She stopped and turned to him. "You seem to know me. Who are you anyway?" "Oh...it's Hyuga." he said, "And we were partners a few times. Why are you working for Magashi? I can see that you don't follow his orders." Ami shrugged again. "I don't know. I just do." "Then why don't you come with me to the Guardians? I'm sure we will get your memories back there." She laughed. "I'm wanted, remember? And are you sure we were just partners? I feel more at ease talking with you. Uh...Hyuga?" He nodded. "Well we are friends too. And some of the others on the Guardians Colony." Ami closed her eyes. Flashes of her memory appeared in her mind. Hyuga used himself as support for her. "You okay?" She nodded. "These headaches are common." 'Might be an effect of the virus.' he thought. She separated herself from him. "I'm fine now, it passed." Her face turned red at the realization of the sudden closeness of them. He used his hand to wipe away the hair that was covering her right eye. Hyuga was stunned about what he saw. Apparently, there was a good reason to hide it. Her right eye was primarily the same as her left, but the pupil had more of a slit shape. And from the egdes of the pupil, the iris was slowly becoming a gold shape. She moved his hand away. "There is more." she said to herself. Then she looked at him. "You have to leave." He stood his ground. "Not until you come back with me." She shook his head. "You seem nice. But I'm your enemy and you're mines. I can't assure you that we will be buddy-buddy the next time we meet." She took out a small sphere and threw it inbetween the two. It was a flash bomb. Hyuga quickly covered his eyes from the light. But once the light died down, Ami was nowhere to be seen. He took one final look at the area before leaving.

Ami arrived back at the base, with Magashi waiting for her, "You've been gone for a while." he remarked. Ami ignored him. Hyuga gave her a lot of stuff to think about. "I needed to get some air. This place gets stale sometimes." Suddenly, her body felt like it was on fire. She fell to the ground. When she looked up, she can vaguely make out Magashi's body. "Why must you disobey?" he asked. Her body felt more on fire as the nano-machines ran rampant through her system. It seems that with your conscious still intact, you can't be trusted." "Dammit..." she whispered. Then she fell into unconsciousness.

Magashi watched some delight as Ami was suffering through the punishment. Once he saw that she was unconscious, another Cast, one of his workers, appeared beside him. "Put her into the caspule. It's about time that we increased the intensity of the infection. Tell 'her' that she is ready for the next stage."

The next few hours were filled with Ami being exposed to the Seed-virus in increased increments. "Now this is interesting." said a woman, "The subject's body is responding fairly well to the exposure. A little too well." Ami's eyes opened slightly. "With this much exposure, she'll be able to obey better, in coexistence with the nano-machines." Magashi kept a blank face. "How is the reversal doing?" The woman shook her head. "With the data, it will still be rather difficult to inject it with the virus. Considering what we're dealing with was made to repel the Seed. The best hope we have is to shut it down, and then inject it with the virus. With it's network, then it would affect too many Relics sites for anyone to stop instaneously." Then she was silent. "The exposure is complete, I'll go and make the preparations for the reversal." Then the woman left. Magashi faintly smirked, "Thanks to you, the purging of this corrupted system will begin."

As you had noticed, I let Infected!Ami call Magashi, Magashi-sama. Honestly, I hate when people use honorifics and they can't speak a lick of Japanese. I made an exception because it felt weird having her, a human, calling him, a Cast, "Lord". Though using "-sama" is basically the same thing. And he actually likes her calling him that. I might explain it a bit more in Part 3 I had intended it to be a ficlet, but then it wasn't really important so I scrapped the idea.

Next chapter: "If it's you, then I won't fight it"
