Prologue for YU GI OH Madness Ryo stood there, his red hair falling over his eyes, exhaustion slowly taking over from the finals of the Duel Monsters tournament. The metal contraption on his arm was becoming heavy as the holograms of various warriors and monsters moved back and forth between him and the opponent. it was still his turn, and his hand was not looking good. he riffles through the three cards in his hand. he had one monster, Magestic Mech Goyru, it was only two thousand nine hundred attack, and it appeared the opponent's field was empty. the serpentine, armored dragon floated before him, he did not know weather to attack, or to just end. the opponent had one face down card, a trap perhaps? or was it a decoy to keep him from attacking. the face down monster was another fear. He weighted the odds for a moment, then decided to attack. The hologram card flipped, it was what he feared, a field clearing card, destroying his monster and the f ace down trap, that spawned a token monster, He curses under his breath as he ends his turn with only five hundred life points left. the opponent draws, then activates a spell card form his hand, summoning another monster from the grave, then another by tributeing the token, he watches as the switch brought forth a mechanical cat with long fangs, then another card, wich fused them into a giant mechanical centaur. he looks up, no fear or emotion, he knew what came next as he monster brought one giant mechanical hand down upon him, if it was a real robot it probably would have turned him into a smear on the ground. but instead it just took away the life points he had left, his duel disk falling form his arm. and himself being escorted away, he lost everything at that moment, his deck, duel disk, and his pride. He did not look back. months later he was unable to keep from having to downgrade from a big house to a small one bedroom apartment, start working in a card shop down the road form the oldest in town. barely making enough to even start over with his career.
