Its time to go Jack.

The sound of Madrak's, Jack's personal construct, was what really snapped him back into conciousness after the charge. He hated plugging-in period. It felt like he had had ice-water poured and massaged directly into his brain and his eyes always hurt for a little while afterwards, but he did not have any choice. Humanity did not have any choice. He snapped open his normally forest green eyes as they finished the one visible change on his body, luminous violet with lines of white code orbitting his pupils. He stood from his crouch and scanned the area slowly, finding no trace of detectable-- There. A ping on his HUDs radar showed Kel'maa ground forces fourty meters distant. He looked to his left and saw only his stainless steel combat knife that he had been carrying since the invasion began three weeks ago. He picked it up, noticing it felt far too light now, and began to run. Unlike the others who could "Plug-in" as they called it, he was the only one of them who could move fast enough to bring the world to a stand-still from his point of view, and he just loved to rub it in. I should point out Jack, that even with the degree of enhanced speed and reflexes, the odds of direct combat with...five Kel'maa ground soldiers and succeeding is low, but with a single combat knife you are left with almost no chance. "Madrak do me a favor and never tell me the odds." Madrak sighed inside of Jack's mind and his voice drew away from the front of his thoughts instantly.

Relshara'dol, a basic Kel'maa ground soldier, marched across the cracked and brackened paventment of what used to be a large city plaza, burned from grey to black most likely by a plasma charge. He lamented ever signing up for this op, the sun on this planet was not hot enough and there was too little gravity on this planet. He began to make sense about how the slug-colored humans could live on this planet, but just barely. Suddenly though, he heard some kind of slashing noise, but that is all he could hear before he dropped.

Jack had done it clean, he made sure to go for the special line of neural tissue in a Kel'maa spinal column that connected the upper and lower brain, a perfect severing completely and quickly made any Kel'maa into a giant sack of spoiled meat. The other four turned though, and leveled their Brutica-class beam pistols with Jack's chest and fired. All clean misses. Jack had launched himself into the air after a quick crouch and charge of his legs. He threw his knife into the eye socket of the nearest one and landed behind the last to farthest one. The former farthest fired, but Jack quickly tucked and rolled to the side, right behind another that attempted to fire. The defending Kel'maa instantly had a large hole burned half-way through its chest, and it collapsed into a dead heap. The other two were paralyzed with fear, and quite literally flash-fried their own heads off. Jack policed one of the Brutica pistols and scanned the area slowly. There were over one hundred pings on the radar, enemy and friend.

"Things up in here....are about to get ugly." He said taking off torwards the fight.
