An RP idea I got while reading a web comic. More than likely I won't ever do it.
Resin Smiles and Vinyl Souls (Name needs lots of work)
Present day and present time.
The obsession with possessing the latest ball-jointed acrylic doll has grown into an all out trend that nearly everyone has joined. Even big computer companies has joined in on the action producing polyurethane resin BDJs with advertised 'life-like actions and artificial intelligence' programmed within leaving the vinyl and normal polyurethane resin dolls to fall into obscurity.
But hidden in the shadowed corners of a city street there is a second hand shop where these forgotten dolls went. This shop was rather special for somehow life was breathed into the old dolls and sent back out with new owners, someone who will provide them with all that they need and want as well as a happy home.
How this is or why this has happened no one knows, not even the people who received the dolls. Though for some reason the new dolls have been programmed to seek out and capture or destroy the old dolls. Now it is a battle between dolls and owners while trying to discover the secret as to how it all came to be.
The dolls are 16 to 24 inches. The hair and body can be replaced but as long as the head remains intact the dolls lives.
RPers can only be an owner or a doll. If a RPer is both then they are the owners of a new tech BJD given that that type has no soul and is easier to command.
I want to make the soul dolls and owners separate for the sake of making it more diverse as in the dolls have a personality and will of their own, like children.
