What happened to the years of yesterday?
The future is damned,
Condemned by a new age,
Like a bird in a cage.

We should look to the past
To see the future,
Repeat the days of old,
Don't leave people in the cold.

Rewrite the dictionary,
Find the words that mean,
Come on have some pride,
Take it all in stride.

It seems all for naught,
looking at our society,
Just remember iron turns to rust,
All men will turn to dust.

Its becoming a civil war
On a global scale.
No one cares for peace,
Rather for their pants' crease.

We choose destruction,
Over disarmament.
Peopl choose not to care,
Instead sit and stare.

Its all for naught,
Unless we all turn to the past,
The world's goin' to hell.
Why can't you tell?

Lets make the anthem of peace.
Of tolerance and understanding,
Rather then neglect and hatred.

Its a failure to communicate.
Communication is what separates us,
From the savages and beasts.

Civilized humanity isn't a common thing,
Put your guns in the ground,
One day it will all be dust n' bones.

Theres no Heaven or Hell,
Just the world's plain,
Where will you stand on the field of truth?
