Description/Picture: Kano is very tall, standing at 6’2”, he has the appearance of a thin, almost frail man, but underneath his almost permanent sweaters you’ll find a rather muscular man. He may be somewhat muscular and completely outdoorsy, underneath it all is a rather tired man. While his mouth may show a smile, his eye’s show his confusion and thus they are a dull grey-brown color and are almost completely lifeless. He wear his shaggy brown long, a bit past his shoulder blades, and it is permanently in a ponytail except for when he is sleeping. His skin isn’t too light or too dark, but rather a sort of tan color due to his Inuit heritage. All of his features are long and sharp, and most would consider him a very handsome man. His most of the year wardrobe consists entirely of sweaters and jeans, and a pair of old worn-out Timberlands. During the winter he wears thick fur coats, and the usual fur boots decorated with cute ornaments made by the traditional Inuits. He is not the type to trade comfort for style, so he usually stays away from popular fashions and instead wears what he views as comfortable or stylish.
Personality: Alaska is lonely, and has few friends, his best friends being Texas and Ohio. Alaska has a lot of social issues, because for years he was part of Russia, and was restricted in what he was allowed to do, and afterwards he spent most of his time in isolation raising himself alone with little to no help from Al. He still has absolutely no idea how to treat people, and will often times get offended easily and upset them because of his sensitivity. He has a hard time knowing when give people their space, and he can be very clingy. He is a country boy through and through, and gets along ten times better with nature than man, since he knows nature. He can be quite comical in the sense that he can be so naïve, and unknowing of city life. He loves to spend time alone, since it gives him time to think, and he can often be found in a small village, asleep on the top of a building. He also has an intense hatred for lying. He also likes to make dumb jokes, but his shyness and awkwardness make his jokes come out even dumber than they normally are.
Short History: Alaska is still a rather young one in the modern world, and Alaska was once one with Russia. (Sorry I had to.) Prior to European exploration, primarily Indians and Eskimos occupied Alaska. The dwindling fur trade, caused Russia to sell Alaska to America in 1867. In 1959, after years of being raised alone, Alaska was brought in as a state.

Description/Picture: He is black, with a lighter skin tone (but not too light). His hair is in medium length dread locks which are usally pulled back in a pony tale, with a hat atop his head. Personality: He plays a large variety of instruments, saxophone (Baratone sax is his favorite), trumpet, guitarre, and piano. He is so kind, quite to the point of being naive. He has a cajun accent and speaks french like all cajuns. (By the way, excuse my french. Since I don't know it and he will be using french, I have to resort to an online translator.) He is also touchy-feely, but (hopefully) most people love him because he is never mad and is kind to everyone. He is laid back, quite fitting the discription of "the big easy".

Description/Picture: He is rather tall, being 5’11” (he only wishes for that extra inch.). He isn’t thin, nor thick, just average, and he likes it that way. His face isn’t anything he’d consider special. He has a normal nose, and a normal mouth and face frame. Nothing too ugly or particularly beautiful about that. The only thing that really stands out about his face are his eyes. His eyes are a deep violet color, a color that can only be described as amazing. His eyelashes are long and thick for a man, and his eyes are just the right size for a person of his looks. Oh yeah, and his nose is covered in sort of innocent looking freckles, that are actually quite devilish. His teeth aren’t too perfect, and he has a bit of a gap in the front, and his smile is just a bit on the gummy side. His hair is middle length, and goes to the middle of his neck. Its pitch black and rather poofy and curly and he will often wear it in a ponytail, but wears it down more than Alaska. He sort of has a bit of a feminine figure, but he blames that on his constant consumption of food, and the cold winters that trap him inside. He usually wears simple clothing, a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. But every once in a while he gets fancy and wears long sleeved shirts with lovely vests and nice pants. He doesn’t get very fancy with his wardrobe most of the time though.
Personality: He is a loud-mouthed punk. Most people find him to be irritable and pessimistic. He is bossy and demanding, and will often times pout if he doesn’t get his way. He likes to put himself off as a loner, but in actuality, he has quite a bit of friends, and they all love him. Despite what a b*****d he may seem, the others know he means well. He is actually quite the nice guy, he’s shy and he is quite giving. He loves everyone, and desperately wants to be accepted, and is quite well accepted, but he doesn’t know it yet. So he will just continue to act the way he does until he realizes how much he is actually loved. He also has a bit of a freaky side, which is only revealed when someone gets really, really close to him, which doesn’t happen often. He loves to sing, and to dance, even though he’s not a good dancer, and only a decent singer. He also has a very strange obsession with lobsters…. And lighthouses…… and whales.
Short History: Maine has a long history with Native Americans, and the first to settle here were the French. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Maine was fought over by the French and British, and America joined the fight for this state in the American Revolution. In 1820, Maine became a part of the US due to the Missouri compromise.

Personality: Very... Serious. Ohio's one of the more largely populated repulican states, so she's very serious about her buisness.
Short History: Ohio used to be a large Indian territory. This explains why she's so odd looking. Since the state is mostly Republican, this explains why she really hates the colour blue. There's a lot of people in the state with full thriving history including many presidents from this "Heart of the US."

Description/Picture: Hawai'i is a true-blooded island girl, with long dark hair and brown skin. She's modernized since becoming a state, but still shows a lot of skin with grass skirts, coconut tops, and floral dresses. If all else fails, it's a straight-up American bikini swimsuit. There's always flowers in her hair or around her neck, even when she's out in the surf. Her hands and feet are scarred from hard work and ancient battles between islands, but the only significant mark is a burn on her back from the Pearl Harbor attacks, which still bothers her on occasion. Petite and a pretty face, this short-statured state always seems to have all eyes on her. She can't help it - she just stands out. When visiting the mainland USA, Hawai'i, feeling very much too cold, tends to live in long jeans and turtleneck sweaters, which never quite look right on her.

Personality: Hawai'i is an outdoorsy girl who can't sit still. She has a great many hobbies, about half of which are in or on the ocean. She's fit and active, and very competitive if thrown a challenge. On the other hand, when she's had a busy day with friends and family, the island girl knows very well how to relax, knowing some of the best places for it. One of her hobbies that isn't so popular anymore was cattle ranching, and she still sometimes goes for a ride when chilling on the Big Island. The thing that annoys her most is America and all his visits to her island home, but she's put up with him all these years because of all the protection she gets. She was once in love with Japan, but she hasn't spoken to him since the Pearl Harbor attack during World War II, and still hasn't sorted out how her feelings have changed. Hawai'i is always a bit of a loner compared to her other state siblings, but enjoys company when it visits. Even today, she has an independent streak that America hasn't yet cured.
Short History: Formerly independent Hawai'i grew up by herself on a collection of islands, descendent from an unknown combination of her Polynesian ancestors. She finally finished growing up in the 1800's when King Kamehameha united all the islands of Hawai'i into one country. After about two centuries of struggle for sovereignty, Hawai'i was "adopted" by America after the overthrow of Queen Liliuokalani, later to formally become a state.

Short History: Idaho was originally part of the Oregon Country, owned by Great Britain. They were claimed by the US in 1890. When Oregon became a state, he was then put along with the Washington Territory. It wasn't before long that he became his own territory consisting of North and South Dakota, and parts of Oregon and Washington.

Her eyes are brown, bordering on hazel. Also, Emily is rather well-endowed but never shows off her... assets. Overall, Emily is a pretty young lady (being the 30th state admitted, she is just over 160 years old) but since she rarely wear make-up and only makes an attempt to dress herself well two or three times a year, no one but her close friends know this (Minnesota and Michigan). She is slim, despite her eating habits, as she works very hard all the time, be it in Madison at the capital or out in farms that dot her landscape.
Personality: A real down-to-earth kind of girl, she enjoys the simple things in life. This does not make her simple, however, as she is actually a incredibly well-learned individual, even though she can be quite forgetful. She cares a lot for politics, but can never make up her mind what side to support because she can always see both side of an argument. Generally, however, Emily is a progressive state, having created the first Unemployed Payment Program. Wisconsin hates California with all her heart because of the effort that was made to steal away her title as Dairy Queen of America. She is also not terribly fond of Illinoisans, because of their clumsiness when they come over to her house (she calls them “Flat-landers” vehemently). She has a very eclectic taste in music and loves to dance, though she is, admittedly, not terribly good at it. Also, Wisconsin is not very good at sports, though occasionally she gets lucky (Green Bay being the usual exception). She also... really likes cows.
Short History: She is the youngest sibling of the Northwestern States, having been admitted into the Union in 1848, after Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. The original Republican Party was founded in Wisconsin and during the 1900s, the state was a center for abolitionism. Before she was born, most of the American Indians were driven from the land following a conflict known as the Black Hawk War. She feels rather poorly about the actions taken by her eldest sister, Northwest Territory, during that and tries to make up for it. When asked about the “Red Scare” of the 1950s that came about because of Senator Joe MacCarthy, she usually replies with something along the lines of, “He really has nothing to do with any of us, please don't blame me for him!”. Short History: Rhode Island is the smallest state by area and is caught between Massachusetts and Conneticut. Rhode Island's official nickname is "The Ocean State," a reference to the state's geography, since Rhode Island has several large bays and inlets that amount to about 30% of its total area.

They are total opposites, him being the slightly dimwitted emotional one, and her being the smart, emotionless one. He is weak and open, (Even more so because of the attacks.) and her has always been then stronger one, who will do anything to protect him. Being his older sister she feels he has to. She is a sociopath, and she could kill anyone at the drop of a hat without remorse. Her temper is short, and she can't stand liars, but she has plenty of secrets. Being a mob boss, who wouldn't? Short History: New Jersey was founded by the Dutch, but then the english took over her. When America broke off, she took a large interest in Italian culture, and began getting involved with the Italian mob. And moved up the ranks and landed where she is today.

Overall, Marisol appears to be a very charming, yet very spaced out, 18 year old.
Personality: Being very down to earth, Marisol is very laid back and easy going getting along with almost anyone. It's nearly impossible to make this girl angry. For the most part she hates violence, but she has a huge fascination with high-tech weaponry and loves creating explosions. She is rather tolerant of other people but thanks to her heritage is very traditional at the same time and holds great respect for her Mexican and Native American heritages and customs. Short History: As a small child, Marisol was raised by her grandmother Anasazi and her mother Pueblo before she was taken by Spain in 1540. Largely ignored by Spain for years, she was taken to live with Mexico after Mexico declared independence from Spain. New Mexico lived very happily with Mexico for many years until in 1848 after the Mexican-American war, she was dragged off to live with America. She remained a territory until June 6, 1912 when she was officially made a state. Since becoming a state, New Mexico has been most noted for creating and testing atomic bombs during WWII as well as the UFO landing in Roswell in 1947. It was during this landing that Marisol met Tony and Jeff, a green, three foot tall version of Tony who is obsessed with tacos and like his fellow ET has developed a huge penchant for cursing. Ever since the crash, New Mexico and Jeff have been inseparable and she carries him around wherever she goes.

Short History: Texas(Caddo-Spanish word for "Friend" wink was always in two different places at once; Southwestern and the Central Plains (and or known as the Prairie). She was first Colonized in 1519 by Spanish explorers, who were namely afraid of the french manifesting out of present day Louisiana. For a short period of time, she had french Colonizations, but Mexico drove them out and claimed Texas as their own. She is known as the lone star state because of her time as being a country of her own (The Republic of Texas). Then, She decided to become a state in the USA, so she was annexed into America as the 28th state on December 29th, 1845. But this caused Mexico to become mad and start the Mexican-American War in 1846 (Alfred won). During the Civil War, She decided to remain a slave state and became part of the Confederacy (she was always a rebel)... At the end of it all, when the Union was Reunited, Texas had a Long period of econimical stagnation small economical slump... But what got her going again was the Cattle Industry, like it always had... Thus giving her the stereotypical image of the "Cowboygirl" (like she ever complained! Thats just who she was!). Today, She is the second largest state in both size and population, and The largest state in the contiguous United States. Her Motto is "Friendship" and her State nickname is "The lone star State"
